Ms.Yeung is the founder and Managing Partner of Dragonrise Capital based in Shanghai, China. Born in mainland China, and educated in both China and the United States, She is one of the earliest venture capitalists investing in mainland China. In past 20 years she has been instrumental in investments in and financing of a number of high profile and successful Chinese internet startups which are now multi-billon dollar public companies, including the Series A round investment in Tencent Technologies (HKSE:700); the largest internet media company in China with almost USD400 billion in market cap (as of 8/18/2017), investments in Sohu.com and Sina.com, and Focus Media Holdings (the largest Chinese outdoor media company with a market cap of USD22 billion), and GCL-Poly Energy, the leading poly-silicon and wafer suppliers in the world.

Prior to her return to mainland China, Shirley was Director of Venture Investments at PCCW in Hong Kong from 2000 to 2003. Before that she worked for JP Morgan as a Vice President in Equity Capital Markets Group in Hong Kong office from 1997 to 2000 and participated in the advisory and execution of privatization and overseas IPOs of China Telecom, China Mobile etc. Prior to relocating back to Asia, she managed $3.5 billion in non-U.S. equity investments for the NYNEX Asset Management Company (now part of Verizon Investment Corp) based in New York, one of the top 10 U.S. Corporate Funds.

As part of her contributions to the venture capital and investment industry, Shirley served a two-year term in Beijing between 2014-2015 as Executive Chairwoman of the Investment and Financing Committee, under the MOFCOM sponsored China Council for International Investment Promotion, responsible for promoting cross-border venture capital and private equity investments between China and overseas markets. Shirley received an MBA in Finance from Yale University School of Management in 1993, and is currently a Member of Yale SOM’s Global Advisory Board.

Chris Stijnen is since September 2016 leading the Product & Portfolio Strategy department of Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) China.

In this role, Chris works closely with the R&D, medical and commercial teams of BMS, to develop and launch innovative new medicines that address serious unmet medical needs of Chinese patients, across a broad range of diseases.

Chris has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to his current role, he worked in strategic roles at the BMS head office in the USA.

Chris joined BMS in 2015 as President Director of BMS Indonesia and filled subsequent General Manager positions in Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Russia.

Prior to BMS, Chris worked in Marketing and General Management roles in Netherlands, Germany and Vietnam, and in a regional role for Latin America.

Chris is a Dutch citizen. He has a Master of Science Degree in Business Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Chris, his wife and youngest daughter are currently located in Shanghai.

Dr. Claudia Süssmuth-Dyckerhoff has been with McKinsey for 21 years, became a Board member of Hoffmann La Roche in May 2016, a Board member of Clariant in April 2016 and a Board Member of Ramsay Health Care (international hospital operator) in November 2018.
At Hoffmann La Roche she is a member of the Audit and Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee, at Clariant she is a member of the Compensation Committee and at Ramsay Health Care she is a member of the Risk Committee. For McKinsey, she remains in the role of a Senior Advisor. She also supports 3 start-ups, and in September 2017 joined the board of Cyrcadia, a med tech start-up.

Initially trained as a banker at Deutsche Bank, she joined McKinsey & Company in Switzerland 1995 with a transfer to the US focusing her work on supporting Healthcare companies - pharmaceutical/medical device companies, payor, provider and health systems in Europe and the US. In January 2006, she and her family transferred to China where she supported the buildup of the Healthcare sector – supporting Pharma and Med Tech companies in strategic as well as operative topics. As a Senior Partner, she took on the leadership of McKinsey’s Asia wide Health Systems and Services Sector serving healthcare companies as well as governments.

Most of her recent work focuses on market entry or market growth strategies, business development, assessment of potential privatization assets in the health services arena, commercial excellence, organizational redesign and capability building, and operational performance improvement in hospitals.

Claudia studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland as well as at ESADE, Barcelona where she graduated with an MBA. She also holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen/University of Michigan Ann Arbor.

She is married and mother of 5 children (four boys and 1 little daughter) aged between 18 and 5 years old.

Ms. Jinqing Cai has been appointed President of Kering Greater China, starting from September 10, 2018. Her mission is to further support the rapid development of Kering’s Luxury Houses in Greater China and to strengthen the links between the Group and its local partners.

Jinqing Cai started her career in 1993 in New York in a strategic consulting company. In 2002, she co-founded the PR firm New Alliance Consulting International in Beijing and in 2005, Ms. Cai became the founding partner of Brunswick Beijing.

In 2012, Ms. Cai joined the leading auction house Christie’s as the first Managing Director of Christie’s China. She was appointed President of Christie’s China in 2014 and then Chairman in 2016.

Jennifer Goforth (Chief Engineer – China Electrification at GM)

Jennifer Goforth was appointed chief engineer of China Electrification in November 2016 by General Motors. In the newly created role, she is responsible for electrified vehicles developed for the Chinese market.

She began her GM career in 1998 at the Saturn division as an advanced manufacturing engineer for chassis and powertrain. A year later, Goforth accepted her first international assignment at Opel ITDC on the chassis and powertrain product development team.

After rotating through several manufacturing, production and engineering positions of increasing responsibility at Saturn, Opel and GM, she was promoted to vehicle line director for the Spark EV.

Over the past 10 years, Goforth has held multiple engineering assignments supporting GM’s electrification strategy, including chief engineer for the Chevrolet Bolt EV at GM Korea.

Prior to taking on her current assignment, Goforth was director of Global Accessories, where she oversaw engineering and program management for the development of GM’s aftermarket accessories.

Goforth has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University and a master’s degree in engineering from Purdue University.

Christian Lee currently serves as Vice-Chair, WeWork Asia, including Greater China, India, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. In this capacity he manages all strategic development initiatives across the region, including capital raising, M&A, new business lines, and partnerships. Prior to this he served as Managing Director of WeWork China and before that as CFO of WeWork Global.

While at WeWork, Christian has overseen numerous strategic initiatives, including raising $1 billion of capital for WeWork China, the investments by Vision Fund and Softbank across Asia, the partnership with Embassy in India, the acquisitions of Naked Hub in China and of Spacemob in Singapore, numerous real estate partnerships, and the launch of the PxWe business in Asia, among others. While in Asia he has helped grow the business from five buildings in three cities to over 150 buildings across 20 cities and 10 countries, creating a network of tens of thousands of members from companies of all sizes.

Prior to WeWork, he worked in New York as Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Development for Time Warner Cable and Director in the Finance & Acquisitions department at Time Warner Inc. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in International Relations from Carleton College.

He first came to China in 1995 where he was at Nankai University for a semester as a foreign language student and in 1997 he spent a semester at University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. He lives with his wife and two children in Shanghai.

Ellen Sun is Site Director of United Technologies Research Center (China) Ltd. At UTRC China, Sun leads the development of expertise and execution of global and Asia-focused research projects in digital buildings, thermal systems, fluid dynamics, decision and control systems, and intelligent systems and manufacturing. In this role, she has full profit and loss responsibility over UTRC operations in China and also directs university partnerships, external/government relationships, and UTC business unit interactions in Asia.

Sun joined UTRC in 1999 as a Senior Research Engineer and since then has held several leadership positions with increasing responsibilities. In her various roles, she executed strategic capability development; led the team responsible for pioneering the world’s first low-cost, conformable compressed natural gas tank; directed the development of solid oxide fuel cell technologies for stationary and mobile power generation; and managed projects in the areas of high temperature protective coatings and ceramic matrix composites. Sun holds 10 U.S. patents and 22 patent applications, and has 69 journal publications and conference proceeding papers to her credit, with more than 1,300 citations. She was also honored as a Connecticut Technology Council Women of Innovation finalist (2014) and has been an invited speaker at the Ceramic Leadership Summit organized by the American Ceramic Society. Sun received a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering and an M.S. degree in physics from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. She also earned an M.S. in business management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.

Eric Zheng is the 2018-2019 Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. With over 3,000 members, AmCham Shanghai is one of the largest American chambers of commerce in the world and strives to be “the Voice of American business” in China. Until recently, Eric was President & CEO of AIG Insurance Company China Ltd. Headquartered in Shanghai, AIG China is the largest wholly-owned international property-casualty insurance company in China with a history dating back to 1992 when China first opened its market to foreign insurance companies. Prior to AIG, Eric served as Principal Commercial Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou. He was responsible for assisting American companies in marketing their products and services to China and in doing business in the country. Before working for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Eric was a management consultant with PwC in the U.S. During his tenure with the largest professional services firm in the world, Eric had increasing levels of responsibility including managing the China Desk, a consulting service that advised multinational companies on doing business in China. Born and raised in northwest of China, and educated in the US, Ms. He has more than two decades of work and life exposure across US, China, Southeast Asia, and Europe. She possesses extensive global HR consulting experience, including executive search, executive coaching, succession management, strengths-based leadership programs. Over the course of her career, she has worked with many Fortune 500 clients.

Prior to Korn Ferry, Ms. He was Director of Consulting and Leadership Consultant for Gallup Consulting in Greater China and Southeast Asia. There, she managed global and regional accounts focusing on talent selection and employee engagement, including conducting hundreds of coaching sessions for C-level and senior executives in Asia-Pacific.

Before that, Ms. He served as engagement manager and research director for Gallup Consulting in Washington, D.C. Her key clients covered many government and healthcare agencies.

Ms. He started her career as a management trainee in market and risk leadership program at General Electric (GE) Capital Services.

Ms. He holds a master’s in business administration degree from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, and a master of science degree in agricultural and resource economics from the University of Connecticut, as well as a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nankai University in Tianjin.

Ms. He is a Board Member at Wharton Alumni Club Shanghai. She is the board member of several NGOs and Charitable organizations. She is also the Member of Young President Organization (YPO).

Jessie joined Eaton in Mar 2015 from GE. Jessie spent almost 10 years with GE in Finance Function in both the U.S. and China, most recently severed as CFO China, GE Industrial Solutions. Before that Jessie has above 5-year working experience in Nestle in both China HQ and plant. Jessie holds a bachelor's degree in Economics (with major in investment) Eaton is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.

Walter Blanding (tenor, soprano saxophones) was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in New York City. He has been a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra for over 20 years and has been also currently a member of the Wynton Marsalis Quintet for the past 12 years. He has performed in 5 of the 7 continents many times over the last few decades, and has also recorded and/or performed with such great artists as Paul Simon, John Hendricks, Illinois Jacquet, the Count Basie Orchestra, Cab Calloway, Roy Hargrove, The Wynton Marsalis Quintet, Willie Nelson, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with such greats as Dianne Reeves, Tony Bennet, the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Paris Radio Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and many, many others.
Dedicated to enriching lives by using the arts as a means of cultural exchange, Walter has been serving as the Jazz Ambassador for Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai for the past 5 months. He will be performing here March 12 - 31st, featuring different music and Artists each week. The first week will include music from his new album “Fantasy In Blue”. The second week will feature an unforgettable combination of Chinese Folk songs and Jazz with his “East Meets West Quintet.” Finally, the third week’s theme is “Something Old, Something New”, and will share popular songs as well as traditional favorites, featuring vocalist, Audrey Shakir. Mr.Blanding states: “These performances are designed to bring us closer to understanding the beauty of our differences as well as the things we all have in common. We will discover together, through various aspects of the music, the depth and importance of cultural awareness and well-being."
