What is the true state of global mobility today in China, and what are its prospects? Weichert Workforce Mobility has just carried out the most comprehensive study in this regard, in over half a decade.

The Weichert China Global Mobility Survey has drawn responses from close to 100 companies from across all industries and a wide variety of headquarter locations, worldwide.

This study was designed to gather definitive data and provide insights into the current and likely future state of global mobility in China, in all its forms: inbound into China, domestically within China and outbound from China. PRC individual income tax and social security trends and case sharing

The year 2023 is challenging though the government has extended favorable tax treatment on benefits-in-kind and annual bonus. The tax and social security authority has strengthened the administration on PRC individual income tax and social security. Recently the relevant authorities have taken actions on those companies whose foreign employees have not made social security contribution, or whose employees’ social security contributions are made in different location from PRC IIT. Meanwhile, the Golden Tax System IV is coming which bring significant challenge to the company from tax compliance and fapiao management perspective. How to manage fapiao for employee's welfare, and how to manage the risk for individuals who are required to report PRC IIT in multi locations while only make social security in one location. The companies shall make well preparation for these changes and take actions to mitigate potential risk.
