Sharon Yang is the Chair of AmCham Shanghai's Human Resources Committee. In her daily job, she is the COO at Silicon Valley Bank Asia. The past 20 plus years of Sharon’s work experience includes a number of HR roles spanning across a variety of industries and locations, including Banking, Real Estate Consulting, Renewable Energy and Engineering industries. Sharon is the founding member of VHR, and career mentor of SAIF FMBA and SUFE IMBA programs.

Ms. Dan Wang is currently the Chief Economist of Hang Seng Bank (China), responsible for China-related research, macro forecast, Sino-US relation, and geopolitical risk analysis.
Dan previously worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) where she spent 5 years as China Chief Analyst, leading forecast and research. Prior to that, she was a postdoc fellow in the Chinese Academy of Sciences as an economist, specializing in agriculture. Dan holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Washington, with a focus on environment and econometrics.
Zak Dychtwald is a strategic advisor, with expertise in global cooperation, the emerging East and West youth mindset, and the interactions of rising China and the world. He is the Founder and CEO of Young China Group, a think tank and consultancy which works to deepen understanding of the effects of the evolving identity of China’s young generation on the marketplace, workplace, and international politics.
Zak is also the author of the critically acclaimed Young China: How the Restless Generation Will Change Their Country and the World, which explores how the country’s young generation, born after 1990, feels about everything, from money and sex, to their government. Patrick Gong is a principal at Mercer China with over 16 years of experience in consulting industry.

Kevin is a Senior Partner of McKinsey, based in our Greater China Office. He is the leader of McKinsey’s Digital Practice in Asia, and the Global co-Leader of McKinsey’s Ecommerce Special Initiative. Kevin primarily focuses on helping leading consumer-facing companies, as well as internet and technology leaders, develop competitive strategies and innovative operating models, enabled by digital technology.
Kevin is the author of a new report on the future of digital innovation in China. He leads McKinsey’s annual research into digital consumer behavior in China, and is the co-author of the McKinsey Global Institute’s landmark study of China’s digital economy. Kevin publishes regularly on technology topics in leading English and Chinese-language publications.

Cici Li joined Shanghai Disney Resort in March 2018 as Vice President, Human Resources. In this role, she provides the strategic Human Resources leadership to further resort’s business priorities and deliver on the vision of Disney Parks. Cici is also responsible for the planning, integration, and implementation of all human resources strategies to enable the business and the development of Shanghai Disney Resort. Prior to sales, Cici led over 20 year career in Australia, China and the United States in variety of human resources roles including Executive Search, Recruitment, Leadership Development and overall HR leadership roles. Cici holds a Master of Commerce from the University of Sydney. She is also a certified Hudson coach.
Ms. Elaine Hong is Ford China HR VP and Ford China Board Member. She oversees HR strategy and operation of Ford Motor China, and she has rich experience of human resources in the automotive, auto finance, and chemical industries. She contributes to the business development by leading a strong HR team providing comprehensive solutions of organization development, talent acquisition, performance management, talent development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR technology and share service center, etc.
Ms. Hong joined Ford in January 2010. Prior to that, she worked for General Motors Asia Pacific Headquarters, Rohm and Haas China R&D Center.
Ms. Hong holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in English and American literature from Fudan University in Shanghai. During postgraduate study in Fudan, she was invited for culture exchange study in Lund University, Sweden.
Aiken Yuen has been with Yum China for 15 years since 2008, currently serving as a Senior Advisor. He was formerly Chief People Officer of Yum China responsible for people strategy, culture building and organization transformation for the Company with over 400,000 employees in 1,900 cities.
Mr. Yuen has been engaged in training & development, organizational development and human resource technology for 30 years since 1990s. Prior to joining Yum China in 2008, he served in senior HR management positions at American International Group (AIG) in Hong Kong from 1998 to 2009. His last position at AIG was Vice President, Human Resources of AIA, AIG’s life insurance business unit for South East Asia. He was responsible for overall human resources strategy formulation and execution for AIA’s Head Office in Hong Kong and its operations in six Asian countries. He has also worked in other financial institutions such as HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank in a regional training &development capacity.

Roman Matla is Director, APAC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Google. Roman’s professional career spans over 24 years in a variety of Technology, Human Capital and Business Analysis leadership roles within the investment banking, mining and resources and technology industries across North America and the Asia Pacific region.
In August 2020, Roman joined Google as APAC Director of Diversity and Employee Engagement based in Singapore. In this role, Roman and his team are responsible for delivering a globally aligned yet regionally tailored DEI strategy and set of initiatives that support Google’s business opportunities around the region.
Michelle has been partnering with senior executives from China, Asia Pacific and global for different B2B and B2C industrials over the last 20+ years. With her profound experiences in sales, marketing and HR, she witnessed the expanding scales and responsibilities falling on HR professionals over her roles as country HR leader and Business HR partner. She has been exploring how to have HR work closer and more effectively with business and to enable HR as a sustainable part of business growth; and being a PCC (Professional Certified Coach), Michelle also provides continuous efforts in executive coaching to leaders from China and Asia Pacific countries, from which she learns the pain points from businesses leaders and also demonstrates new values that leaders and HR can play in influencing people. Curtis Baker is the Head of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity and Employee Experience, Asia Pacific . In this combined role, Curtis is responsible for driving and implementing the Inclusion & Diversity + Employee Experience strategy and providing expertise, consultation and support to business, functional, and ERG leaders and EX change champions in the region. Collaborating with the businesses and functions on inclusion and employee experience interventions that lead to measurable results and long-term culture change, he also manages relationship support for I&D + EX partnerships and represent Dow externally consistent with the region’s outreach and thought leadership initiatives.
Curtis obtained a B.A. in Public Relations from Murray State University, KY. After a 7-year career in the music industry in Nashville, TN, he relocated to Orlando, FL shifting careers to private education through the admissions teams and international student programs. In 2013, ready for a new adventure, Curtis relocated to China to work with The Walt Disney Company China within the HR Talent Acquisition team.
His diversity and inclusion journey started as Curtis was the founder of the DisneyPRIDE Greater China (LGBTQ+ ERG) at both The Walt Disney Company Greater China and at Shanghai Disneyland Resort while also an active member of the Diversity & Inclusion Team for North Asia. This was the first ERG for Disney in the Asia Pacific region. He later moved to Shanghai Disney Resort as the Diversity & Inclusion lead prior to joining Dow.
