Sean Stein is the Consul General at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai. He previously served as Consul General in Shenyang, China. In that role he worked with U.S. states to foster over $1 billion in Chinese investment in the United States – a record at the time – and introduced dozens of U.S. firms to the Chinese market. He also developed a program that became the model for the U.S.-China Tourism Year, a Presidential initiative to attract Chinese tourists to the United States.
As Principal Officer in Medan, Indonesia, Mr. Stein focused on reconstruction in Aceh after the Boxing Day earthquake and created a mission-wide program to double the number of Indonesian students studying in the United States. While serving as the first Deputy Chief of Mission in Dili, East Timor, Mr. Stein oversaw the establishment of a new mission and construction of a new embassy. When large-scale political violence and instability broke out in Dili, he oversaw the evacuation of U.S. citizens from country and the drawdown of the embassy. Mr. Stein has also served tours in Lagos, Jakarta, and Chengdu.
He is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service and a graduate of Georgetown University. He speaks Indonesian and Mandarin Chinese and is married with three children.
Bill Russo is the Shanghai-based Founder and CEO of Automobility Limited, a strategy and investment advisory firm helping its clients to create the future of mobility. His over 35 years of experience includes 15 years as an automotive executive, including 14 years of experience in China and Asia. He has also worked nearly 12 years in the electronics and information technology industries. He has worked as an advisor and consultant for numerous multinational and local Chinese firms in the formulation and implementation of their global market and product strategies.
In his current role, Bill advises start-ups, corporations and investors on how to maximize their participation in China’s Automobility Revolution. In order to achieve success, he believes they must expand their focus from the product (the automobile) to the utility derived from the product (“automobility”), and create a business model and digital ecosystem optimized to provide digitally enabled solutions for both car owners and mobility services users.
Bill was previously the regional head of Chrysler in North East Asia, where he successfully negotiated agreements with partners and obtained required approvals from the China government to bring six new vehicle programs to the market in a three-year period, while concurrently establishing an infrastructure for local sourcing and sales distribution.
Mr. Patrick P. Lin currently serves as the head of autonomous vehicle business for Ford Motors in Asia Pacific. In this role, Mr. Lin guides the long-term strategy of the company as Ford transitions from a traditional automotive company into a technology and mobility services provider. With Ford, Mr. Lin previously managed teams in corporate strategy, electrification, smart cities, and other mobility-related projects.
Previously, Mr. Lin served as Group Vice President at Lion Travel, JWI Marketing and Xinmedia under the Lion Group conglomerate where he also served as Strategy Advisor to the Chairman.
In addition, Mr. Lin serves as a Board Director for the China MIT Alumni Association and previously served as the Vice Chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce as well as being a key member of the Travel and Tourism Committee for both the American and European Chambers of Commerce in Greater China.
With over 20 years of business development experience spanning various industries, Mr. Lin has had the opportunity to be an entrepreneur and corporate manager in both private and public enterprises in the United States and throughout Asia.
Mr. Lin completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California and was an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received a Masters in Business Administration.
Dr. Zhang Ran has been the Chief Financial Officer of WM Motor since 2016.
He previously served as the CFO at Pateo Group, where he focused on financing and capital operations.
He joined Zhejiang Geely Holding Group as the deputy CFO in March 2010. Zhang played a key role in the process of Geely’s takeover of Volvo, he was a core team member with a focus on overseas acquisition and management reconstruction work. In March 2014, he took the role of Executive Director & CFO of Geely Auto Holding Co. Ltd, responsible for financial management, internal controls, infrastructure assembly and automobile financing of both the listed company and its subsidiaries.
From 1995 to 2010, Zhang worked in Ford Motor doing financial management both in China and North America.
Zhang obtained his PhD degree of Economics at Boston University in 1996.
Yueyan Zhu works as an Engineer at the Auto Policy Research Center of the China Automotive Technology & Research Center. She has been working in the industry for many years, doing research on Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (ICV). She has participated in many ICV projects commissioned by various governmental organizations. In addition, she has also been involved in the formulation of many policies involving ICVs. Ms. Zhu holds a master’s degree in Vehicle Operation Engineering from Beihang University.
Adon Tian, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), is a Senior Engagement Manager of McKinsey & Company based in Beijing. He is a core member of McKinsey Center for Future Mobility (MCFM) whose aim is to help business leaders and policy makers come to terms with a future that is increasingly autonomous, connected, electrified, and shared.. He co-led McKinsey’s knowledge development effort in China Autonomous Vehicles. He also advices both MNC and local automotive clients on market research, market entry, business model development and marketing and sales topics. Mr. Tian holds a MSc in Accounting and Finance with Distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and is a charter holder of Chartered Financial Analyst.
Aaron Chen is the Senior Technology Expert at Geely Research Institute, he leads the technical strategy in autonomous driving, Mobility and ITS.
Aaron has over 24 years’ experience in China automotive industry and he has taken senior positions at Siemens VDO, Clarion-Hitachi and a leading LBS technology company Telenav (Silicon Valley Based) and a local company Joyson.
Aaron’s work focuses on China and core attending technology and marketing in field of AD and HAD solution architecture, Core sensors in AD, 5G, V2X, HD Mapping and localization, Infotainment, LBS, e-Mobility etc.
He represents Geely to participate both global and local standards organizations such as 5GAA, Connected & Autonomous Vehicle National Committee, IMT2020(5G).
Bo Huang, General Manager of UISEE (Shanghai) Automotive Technologies Ltd., who received his PhD in computer science from Fudan University. Before joining UISEE, Bo was a senior technologist and innovator in Intel Asia Pacific Research & Development Company. Dr Yolanda, XI Yunxia, has more than 15 years working experience in automotive industry. She is with ON Semiconductor, responsible for all regional automotive marketing activities of intelligent sensing products in China and Taiwan. Prior to joining ON Semiconductor, she worked for Infineon, Freescale and NXP, covering the chip architecture design, system application development and market business development. Dr. Xi has rich professional experience in automotive application solutions, MCU architecture, Intelligent sensing of Autonomous Driving car, functional safety and more. She holds a Ph.D. in electronic and electrical engineering from National University of Singapore.

Jianpeng Li is the Director of Autonomous Driving Architect at Singulato Motors . He is an experienced system engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the automotive industry. He is specialized in autonomous driving system, Braking system for Electric Vehicles, Advanced driver assistant system.
Before joining Singulato, he was the system engineer at highly automated driving at BMW China from 2011-2014 and prior to that, he worked at the Bosch China as system Engineer.
Mr. Li received his Master of Science (M.S.) focused in Mechatronics Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
