Kenneth Jarrett is President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai since September 2013. Prior to that he was the Greater China Chairman for APCO Worldwide, a Washington-based public affairs consultancy from 2008 to 2013, and before that a U.S. diplomat from 1982 to 2008. During his 26-year diplomatic career, his postings included Consul General in Shanghai, Deputy Consul General in Hong Kong, and Director of Asian Affairs at the White House National Security Council. He also served in Beijing, Chengdu, Singapore, and had several assignments in Washington, DC. Mr. Jarrett has degrees from Cornell University, Yale University and the National War College.

Dr. Liu is a leading economist in China known for his focus on China's economic reform. In 2014, he was invited to a policy-consultation meeting chaired by the Chinese Premier LI Keqiang. He is one of the founders of CEIBS Lujiazui Institute of International Finance (CLIIF) and served as Executive Deputy Director (assisting Director WU Xiaoling), and also one of the founders of the Lujiazui Forum.

His published the book The Next Decade of China in 2013. He is a Member of the Global Agenda Council of World Economic Forum (2012-2014), a Columnist for FTChinese.com, cn.WSJ.com and Caixin.com. James McGregor is the chairman of APCO Worldwide's greater China region and author of two highly regarded books: No Ancient Wisdom, No Followers: The Challenges of Chinese Authoritarian Capitalism, published in October 2012, and One Billion Customers: Lessons from the Front Lines of Doing Business in China, published in 2005. He was a veteran reporter for The Wall Street Journal, and prior to joining APCO, he was founder and CEO of a China-focused consulting and research firm for hedge funds. He also held previous roles as a senior adviser for Ogilvy Public Relations China and the China managing partner for GIV Venture Partners, a venture capital fund that focused on technology and Internet investments in China and India. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Atlantic Council, a Global Council member of the Asia Society, a board member of the U.S.-China Education Trust and a member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

engaging and cultivating government stakeholders` relationships which enable
company growth in China and providing policy & regulatory consulting service to
internal stakeholders.
Xiaopeng joined Dow as the government affairs manager in Beijing 2006. He
provided Government Affairs support to Dow capital investment projects within China
and managed communication with all critical government stakeholders from city up to
Ministerial level. Prior to Join Dow, Xiaopeng had worked in one China State-Owned
Enterprises since 1997 as the sales representative, commercial manager and
government affairs manager, which company provided purchasing service,
import/export consultancy and financing service to Petro-China, Sinopec and local
refineries.
Xiaopeng holds a Bachelor Degree of Business English & International Trade from
the Xian Foreign Language University in China.

Jonathan Zhu is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Shanghai office and leads the firm’s Life Science & Government Affairs practices in China. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in both private and public sectors.

Jonathan was one of the first Chinese-American lobbyists working for an established Washington DC-based government affairs consulting firm. During his tenure with the organization, Jonathan advised multinational companies in Sino-America transactions at strategic and tactical levels.

He also held senior positions, including China country general manager and corporate marketing director for both US and Japanese publicly listed multinational companies in the industrial and analytical/medical diagnostic industries.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Jonathan was a partner with another global executive search company, where he led its life sciences and government affairs practices in China. Earlier in his career, he worked for the United States Department of Defense. Reported to a major general in the United States Air Force where he gained the fundamental life values of devotion, discipline and teamwork. Jonathan also served on the Asia advisory board for Coloplast, a Danish-based global medical device company. He has also served as trusted advisor to several leading pharmaceutical and medical devices companies in the region.

He has published papers on the topics of China government affairs, organizational development and corporate structures in such journals as Pharmaceutical China.
