The global coronavirus outbreak has posed severe challenges to international trade orders, while US-China trade frictions alongside wider geopolitical tensions have further exacerbated uncertainties facing many companies. To mitigate potential challenges and maintain a stable international trade environment, many businesses have started to adjust their supply chains and implement risk management plans.

At the end of 2020, 15 countries including China, Japan, and the ASEAN signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which aims to form a unified market of free trade among the 15 countries by reducing tariff and non-tariff barriers. However, what does the trade deal actually mean for the import and export business of multinational enterprises? At the local level, the newly-released China Export Control Law has increased the country's scrutiny level of exports, requiring companies to act in a more cautious and standardized way when conducting export business, and to improve their abilities in compliance management and risk identification to avoid the risk of incompliance.

To help member companies understand the influence of these international and domestic policies on the market, AmCham Shanghai invites you to join our upcoming event, "Trade Management and Customs Compliance Under the New Era" on March 16th, Tuesday, at 2PM. Speakers will include Ryan Tang, Executive Director, and Lisa Wang, Solutions Consulting Director, at E2open; Ms. Asta Nie, Partner, and Mr. Jason Zhu, Manager, at PwC Shanghai's World Trade Management Services. Our speakers will share their insights on these important policies and help members sort out some recent customs and trade management-related policies.
