AmCham Shanghai presents the half-day 2023 AmCham Food, Agriculture & Beverage (FAB) Conference, with an ensuing open-to-all food fair, plus happy hour from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm after the conference, please click here to register for the happy hour separately.

*Conference ticket includes complimentary happy hour admission, conference ticket holders will not need to register for the happy hour again.



Member companies in the F&B industry may apply for a free food stand at the food fair. Space is limited, so please contact Jenny Wang and fill out this application form to submit your interest.



This conference will feature insightful discussions on the food and beverage industry. Industry leaders will share their experiences and strategies for adapting to changing market conditions. Emerging trends and opportunities will be explored, as well as the role of technology and innovation in shaping the industry. Another panel will delve into the business of food and beverage investment, discussing the current investment landscape, emerging trends, and opportunities, and the impact of technology on food production, distribution, and sales. Attendees will gain insights into how brands can respond to these trends and the influence of investment firms on the F&B industry. Lastly, a debate on healthy eating will tackle current health trends in food and nutrition.

Topics to be discussed:

• Unlocking Opportunities

Industry experts in the food and beverage industry will provide valuable perspectives on the challenges they faced in the past year, and how they overcame them, and discuss their experiences and insights into operating restaurants in China's dynamic and rapidly-changing market. Through these discussions, we will gain a deeper understanding of the food and beverage industry and the ways in which it is evolving to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world and visions for the future of the industry. We will touch on emerging trends and opportunities, and building and maintaining successful restaurants in a highly competitive market. 

• Harvesting Returns: The Business of Food and Beverage Investment

This panel will discuss the current investment landscape in the food, beverage, and agriculture industry, including emerging trends and opportunities, as well as how international brands can best respond to them, and the additional influence that investment firms have had on the F&B industry. The panel will also discuss the impact of technology on the industry, particularly in areas such as food production, distribution, and sales.

• Food for Thought – A Debate on Healthy Eating

With conflicting information about what constitutes a healthy diet, the panel will debate what really makes a healthy diet and unpack health nutrition trends in 2023. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the food and beverage industry, investment landscape, and current health trends.

This conference is organized with the support of AmCham Shanghai's Food, Agriculture & Beverage Committee. The committee facilitates sharing of best practices across the farm-to-fork supply chain. The Committee aims to be an information resource, a networking forum, and a government engagement platform for key industry issues. The Committee helps members increase food safety awareness among the general public and lead the implementation of industry best practices. The Committee also engages regulatory bodies to advocate member interests while assisting members with regulatory compliance.
