Helen Hu


Helen is the Chief Financial Officer at Duke Kunshan University, overseeing finance, IT, and procurement. Helen joined DKU in September 2018 after working as Asia CFO for International Paper ("IP") with responsibilities over finance, IT, and Administration. Besides IP, in her over 20 years of professional career, Helen has also worked for a few multinational companies in progressive leadership roles, including China CFO for Ferrari Maserati Cars, Finance Manager for McCormick in China and finance analyst at the headquarters in the United States. Prior to that, Helen also worked for Tate & Lyle, Kimberly-Clark in the United States, and a foreign trade company in China. She has accumulated rich and practical experiences in corporate finance, control and compliance, risk management, FP&A, M&A, restructuring, system build-up and people development. She is a recipient of multiple leadership awards from her employers and external professional communities.

Meanwhile, Helen is a board member at the Duke Kunshan University Education Development Foundation, and the vice chairman of its investment committee.

Helen is also actively involved in the business community to promote healthy development of China - US business relationships. She currently serves a second term as a governor at the board of American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai. During her first term 2017-2018, Helen was appointed in both years as the Treasurer and Chair of Finance Committee at the board.

Helen is an AICPA and CGMA member.

Helen received her Bachelor's degree from University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), China in 1992, and an MBA degree from Wake Forest University, USA in 1997.

Dr. Guo Peiyuan 


Dr. Guo Peiyuan, who holds a Ph.D. in Management from Tsinghua University, is the general manager of SynTao and chairman of SynTao Green Finance. Dr. Guo Peiyuan continuously focuses on research and practices about corporate social responsibility (CSR) and socially responsible investment (SRI), with abundant experience on research, training and consulting services. Now SynTao has become a leading CSR consulting company in China


Dr. Guo teaches MBA course Business Performance and Sustainability in School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, and teaches international student course Social Innovation and CSR in School of Social Development and Public Policy, Beijing Normal University.

Dr. Lu Jianzhong


Dr Lu, currently China President of Weir Group. Former Partner of Brunswick Group providing strategic advice to Fortune 500 and large Chinese companies (M&A, IPO, Transformation, Brand & Reputation, Sustainability, risk and crisis management). Previously Group Executive Vice President of RGE (China), Chief Rep of RGE (China), Chairman of Asia Symbol Pulp & Paper (Shandong) Ltd., Vice President Sateri Group. Prior to RGE, Acting President BHP Billiton Group (China).


Dr. Lu received Ph. D on electronic commerce from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology; Master Degree on Industrial Management & Innovation from Ecole Centrale de Paris; Bachelor degree on Chemical Engineering from Zhenjiang University. Dr. Lu is Deputy Director-General of China Corporate Social Responsibility Think Tank, Member of the Shenzhen Manufacturing Strategy Advisory Board ; Co-chair of American Chamber (Shanghai) BCSR Committee, Founder of CSR Thought Lab, Guest Professor at Nankai University.

Vivian Xiao


Vivian Xiao has been the Head of Integrated Communications, Greater China, Philips Lighting since November 2016. She leads the company's Branding, PR, Digital and Marketing Communications functions in the Greater China market.


Prior to joining Philips Lighting, Vivian had been in charge of Corporate Communications, Branding and Sustainability Communications for Eaton and HSBC.


Vivian has 20 years of experience in communications, public affairs and media industries. She began her professional career as a journalist after graduation. She previously served as a correspondent for the Reuters Shanghai bureau and as a financial reporter for Shanghai Daily.


Vivian holds a bachelor's degree in international journalism from Shanghai International Studies University and a Master of Business Administration from the Washington University in St. Louis. Vivian is the Co-chairman of the Business CSR Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

 

Hui "Roy" Zhang


Mr. Hui Zhang is the Director of Corporate Responsibility Asia for United Technologies Corporation. Prior to UTC, he leads a broad array of corporate function from CSR to communications at Abbott and SAP Labs China, etc. He is also the CSR Forum chair for European Union Chamber of Commerce China in Shanghai, CSR Think Tank expert of China Federation of Industrial Economics, Contributing his insights and advices in the area of CSR & sustainability strategy, CSR management, stakeholder engagement and philanthropy communication, etc. Mr. Zhang also served as the CSR advisor and consultant to UNDP and ILO in China, CSR expert for Corporate Communications Handbook for NGOs sponsored by European Union, Heinrich Böll Foundation and CANGO, guest lecturer on CSR to MBA programs at CEIBs, Tsing Hua University, Fudan University, etc.  Mr. Zhang graduated from Tianjin Foreign Studies University with Bachelor degree in English Language and Cultures in 1996. In 2010, he became the Accredited Business Communicator of International Association of Business Communications (IABC). He is the 2011 Alumni of Swedish Institute Management Program, a Sino-Sweden fully sponsored CSR scholar visit program.

Brianne Watts


Brianne Watts is the Environment, Science, Technology, and Health (ESTH) Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai. Ms. Watts came to Shanghai from Washington, D.C., where her posts included serving as Economic and Commercial Officer in the U.S. Department of State's Economic and Business Affairs Bureau Office of Bilateral Trade Affairs. In that role she worked to open new overseas markets and promote economic development through regional and bilateral trade initiatives in the Western Hemisphere, in addition to serving as U.S. Coordinator for the APEC Economic Committee. She started as a Foreign Service Officer with the State Department in 2008. Previous postings abroad include Belmopan, Belize and Beijing, China.  Ms. Watts attended the University of Arizona and the London School of Economics.
