His most recent role as National Technology Officer in Microsoft China allows him to evangelize Microsoft’s latest technology vision and innovation to broader ecosystem partners and industry influencers in China.

Tom Ward is a business management consultant who has been working with Asian-Pacific businesses for over thirty years, the last twenty working and residing in China.

In 2005 Tom restructured his management consulting and formed PIM, Ltd. in the USA with a WOFE, PIM China, Ltd. in Shanghai. Over the past thirteen years PIM China has provided market opportunity analysis for entering or expanding into China’s industrial market sectors. In recent years, PIM has broadened its services to include cross border inbound and outbound investment support.

Tom is articulate in the different business customs of the region, openings and barriers to market entry, and the various ways of creating successful business ventures in China.

Haoding Wen is the Vice President, Business Division Transmission Systems of Schaeffler Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. He leads the business and has holistic responsibilities for the day-to-day operations. He focuses on developing organization and programs that deliver results and efficiencies and playing a leading role in the definition and implementing implementation of the mid-term business development and annual P&L target. He significantly increased the local content in helping which helped to increase China sales turn over 20 times more from 2009 to 2017.

Prior to joining Schaeffler, Haoding served as Area Sales Manager of LuK GmbH & Co.Ohg from 2003-2009. Previously, he was a controller at Deutsche Bank am Main and Cost Controlling of IT service for Deutsche Bank global legal entities.

Haoding received his bachelor’s degree from Tongji University in Shanghai and a master’s degree from Technical University Karlsruhe and University Stuttgart, Germany.

Helen Chen is a Managing Director of L.E.K. Consulting based in Shanghai. She heads the China office and sat on L.E.K.’s Global Leadership Team, the firm’s governing board, from 2012 to 2016. Helen has over 30 years of consulting and industry experience in the U.S. and Asia, and has resided in China since 2000.

Helen produced the Shanghai government commissioned Chinese outbound investment guides China Funding the World: An International Private Equity Investment Guide for Chinese Companies in 2017 and From China to the World: An International Investment and Market Access Guide for Chinese Biopharmaceutical Companies in 2016. She is a frequent speaker and author on the opportunities and issues in the China business, and has been quoted by publications including BioCentury, BioWorld, In Vivo, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Forbes Asia.

Prior to joining L.E.K., Helen held senior management roles at a number of technology companies in the U.S. and China. She was an associate director of finance at Genentech and a sales planner at Abbott Laboratories. She is on the organising committee for the Medtronic Sequoia Fund, and was on the Board of Pharmaceutical Management Sciences Association from 1995 to 1997.

Helen received her A.B. cum laude in applied mathematics from Harvard University.

Russell Hubbard joined Tekni-Plex, Inc. in February 2009 and is currently Senior Vice President – International to manage the growing Asia operations and business. The Tekni-Plex China operation in Wujiang currently reports to Russell and he plays contributing roles to a global medical strategy as well as pursuing M&A potential in Asia. Prior to joining Tekni-Plex, Russell was Director, Global Business Development at Graham Packaging where he was responsible for developing business opportunities in Asia, Mexico and Latin America. His 35+ years of experience in the packaging industry, includes senior level roles in product development, strategic planning, finance and administration at Amcor PET Packaging, Continental PET Technologies, Kerr Plastics and Continental Can Company. He holds an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University.

Jason Lin joined TE Connectivity (“TE”) in April 2011 and currently serves as Director, Global Trade Service APAC.

In this role, Jason is responsible for trade compliance affairs in the APAC region, overseeing the import/export and trading activities. He also provides trade related services to TE’s day-to-day operations, e.g., implementing TE’s Global Trade Compliance program and system at TE’s advanced manufacturing sites, distribution centers and trading companies in the region. He helps TE save operational costs by designing and implementing programs to benefit from regional free trade agreements and ensure supply chain security by advising on the C-TPAT program. Besides, Jason works very closely with other TE corporate functions and business units to effectively support TE’s footprint evolution in the APAC region.

Prior to joining TE, Jason served as senior manager, Asia Trade Compliance and Customs Affairs for Flextronics, a multi-national electronics company, from October 2007 through April 2011. Prior to that, he had over 13 years’ experience with Shanghai Customs, specializing in anti-smuggling investigations, external audits and duty exemption management.

Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree of English Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University and receives his Customs management degree from The General Administration of Customs School.

He is specialized in corporate development strategy, innovation, organizational transformation and operations improvement.

Feng, SHAO got his BA Political Science from China Foreign Affairs College in 2000 and MA International Management from Queen Mary and Westfield College in London in 2007 as a Chevening Scholar.

Feng started his career as an English interpreter for Mayor of Shanghai. He served various positions in Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and was appointed as Vice President of Invest Shanghai in 2011.

In 2012, he was Senior Policy Advisor of Evonik Industries China. From 2014, he was Associate GA Director of Abbott China.

Cathy Yan joined PPG in 1997 as human resources (HR) and administration manager, and then was appointed as HR director for China, director of government affairs & business development for China, director of government affairs & business development for Asia Pacific. In 2007, she was promoted to general manager, government affairs & business development, Asia Pacific, and later was renamed as general manager, corporate & government affairs, Asia Pacific, till now. At this role, she is responsible for government affairs, corporate marketing & communication, external and internal communications as well as corporate social responsibility. She is the first female senior executive in PPG Asia Pacific. In addition, she is also the chair of Diversity Council of PPG Asia Pacific. Before joined PPG, Cathy Yan has 15 years of work experience in state-owned enterprise and 6 years in joint venture.

For her significant contribution, Cathy Yan was awarded “Tianjin Labor Medal”, “TEDA 20 Year, 20 persons” Special Award, TEDA Excellent Party Secretary, TEDA Excellent Executive for several times. And she was the only recipient of the Third Class Contribution Award by China Ministry of Public Security in Tianjin Binhai Area. In 2009, Cathy was honored Excellent Contributor for Socialism and Excellent Entrepreneur in Tianjin. In addition, she has been elected as the “Friend of PPG Labor Union” for five times. In 2015, Cathy was ranked at the first place of “Top Ten Influential Women of China Coatings Industry”.

Cathy Yan is also the Vice President of Tianjin Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investments, President of TEDA International Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of Industrial and Commercial Federation of Tianjin Binhai Area, Vice Chair of Tianjin Woman Entrepreneur Association, the Senior Advisor of Foreign Investment Office of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, and the member of Tianjin Political Consultative Committee. Her active engagement in these social roles helps establish close connection between PPG and local government and communities, advancing the ongoing investment initiatives and business development of PPG and other foreign companies in China and Asia Pacific. In 2017, Cathy was engaged as “Distinguished Interviewer Panelist for Global Leadership Program” by Tsinghua Schwarzman Scholars.

To fulfill one of PPG’s core values -- “Recognition the concerns and needs of society”, Cathy Yan is dedicated to advocate and implement innovated corporate responsibilities among the organization. Under her leadership, PPG’s contribution to social development in Asia Pacific region is highly recognized and appreciated by the local communities and general public. In 2012, she was awarded as “Distinguished Contributor to China’s Social Responsibility Fulfillment” for her outstanding efforts in the field. In 2015, Cathy was engaged as Members of the Corporate Social Responsibility Evaluation Committee.

Cathy Yan graduated from Nankai University with a B.A. in Philosophy, and received an MBA degree from Australia Greenwich University.

Prior to Joining AptarGroup, Andy was with Dupont China Holding Co. for more than 9 years holding various senior management positions in multiple DuPont business units in China and Asia Pacific. Andy also worked with Honeywell for more than 10 years in Singapore and China for different roles of techincal, project management, business development and sales management etc.
Andy is a strong business leader with a track record of delivering solid organization and business growth in China and Asia Pacific. Andy held Bachlor and Master degree in Engineering from Zhejiang University, China and Ph. D from National University of Singapore.
