AmCham Shanghai's Retail Committee and Marketing & Media Committee will present "What Does the End of Animal Testing Mean for Cosmetics?" on Thursday, July 22 from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm at the AmCham Shanghai's Conference Center.
The new regulations on cosmetics in China are officially effective on May 1st, 2021. China has ended mandatory animal testing for the majority of imported cosmetics brands. They also include a new classification of cosmetic products, new requirements for the ingredients, efficacy claims, and safety assessment. There are huge opportunities but also challenges for cruelty-free beauty brands.
