AmCham Shanghai's Women's Executive Network (WEN) is pleased to invite you to the Executive Leadership Coaching Seminar presented by seasoned executive coaches on Tuesday, August 31st from 9:00 - 11:00 am.


This program will explore:

  • the value of coaching, and the methods used by experienced executive coaches;
  • the differences between coaching, mentoring, training, consulting, and counseling; and
  • what to look for when seeking and working with an executive coach.

The program will include a panel discussion with three experienced executive coaches and be moderated by Jean Liu, Member of the Board of Governors of AmCham Shanghai and former Co-Chair of the WEN. The panel discussion will be followed by a live coaching session and Q&A from the attendees.

  • Elaine Huang (CEO and founder of LOT Coaching Consultancy)

    Elaine Huang

    CEO and founder of LOT Coaching Consultancy

    Starting in 2009, Dr. Elaine has coached several hundred talents in MNC and POE organizations, from management trainees to CEOs, in Asia and North America. Her specializations include coaching for greater self-awareness, innovation, growth, and leadership transformation.

    Dr. Elaine has recently focused on CEO vision-based coaching, which is normally followed by clarification of the organization’s vision, mission, and values, then by strategy formulation.

    Dr. Elaine has spent her whole career in leadership, organization, and talent development. She has worked in world-famous management and leadership consulting companies like Accenture, the Hay Group, and Mercer. She has also acted as the Asia Pacific Organization Development leader for Fortune 500 companies.

    Having worked in Shanghai, Beijing, London, and Toronto, Dr. Elaine has developed unique experience and insights, “local depth and global breadth”, which enables her strength as a reflective practitioner.
    Dr. Elaine received her EdD from Fielding Graduate University (Cal., U.S.)in 2019 and her MBA from CEIBS in 2003. She also completed the Evidence-Based Coaching Program (EBC) at Fielding Graduate University During 2014-2015.
    Dr. Elaine founded and currently leads the LOT Coaching Consultancy, which partners with business leaders, HR, teams, and organizations to facilitate high performance in the workplace.

    Wendy Wu is an organizational coach and facilitator specialized in talent leadership development, teaming, and culture transformation. Through systematic intervention on the individual, team, and organizational levels, Wendy helps clients from various disciplines and backgrounds to become more impactful leaders and better-performing teams.
     
    Prior to founding her coaching & OD consulting practice in 2016, Wendy spent over 20 years in marketing and business management. She was an executive at Ecolab, with P/L responsibility across the Asia Pacific; and a marketing leader, with global scope, at Philips. Wendy’s earlier career also included founding a boutique consulting firm in Silicon Valley, and pioneering into the North American market with Chinese TV maker the Konka Group.
     
    Wendy obtained her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her BA in English from Tsinghua University.

    Jeff, a certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West, speaks Mandarin and has worked in Asia for 25 years. His previous corporate associations include Hewlett Packard and Russell Reynolds Associates. Client organizations include firms in the technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and financial and professional services industries. Jeff is currently writing a book to help Western MNC general managers in China work more effectively with local colleagues.

    As the Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at EF, Jean leads the company’s corporate affairs function, including Government Relations, Public Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Prior to joining EF, Jean headed IBM China’s marketing team for Cloud and for the technology services business. Before that, Jean was Vice President of Corporate Affairs for EDS Corporation. She also spent five years as the global vice president for brand management and advertising for AT&T and BT’s joint venture. Earlier in her career, she held management positions with public relations firm Burson-Marsteller and advertising agency D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles (DMB&B).
