Join AmCham Shanghai's Manufacturing Business Council for presentations on how to Thrive In China's New Environmental Era, on October 15th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. You will have the opportunity to ask direct questions to representatives from the government, peers from the industry, and consultant subject matter experts.

How does a company respond to a news article announcing 4,022 companies are facing rectification and that 1,431 enterprises and 9 chemical parks in Jiangsu shall be closed? Is this information reliable? Can we get more details? Can this be foreseen? Can something be done about it?

International companies increasingly realise that Conventional Risk Management focused purely on compliance no longer protects them in China. Many have started to upgrade their risk management systems and are evaluating how to deal with various new requirements: how to avoid interruptions in the operations and supply chain when temporary production restrictions are imposed? How to meet new VOC management requirements? What changed in the permitting process?

This event provides insight in where these requirements come from, and how they can be anticipated, using China's increasing amount of digitized environmental information. In panel discussions industry players will debate with government officials and environmental experts and share their best practices.
