Join AmCham Shanghai's Supply Chain Committee on April 20th, 8:30am - 10:00am to understand the challenges facing international ocean freight and the impact on operations in China. With the pandemic limiting the workforce for unloading cargo, congestions at ports across the world are causing severely increased lead times and costs for transportation. This existing situation was exacerbated by the Suez Canal incident, further straining an already overloaded system. The build-up of ships could affect international trade well into the summer. In the meantime, how can companies work around the problem? In a presentation that shares key trends in global freight forwarding, we'll hear an overview of the situation from industry experts at CEVA. Following the update, a panel of in-house supply chain professionals will discuss the effect it has and any solutions they've found.
