She began her communications career at the British Consulate-General Shanghai in the 1990s before spending 20 years in international and Chinese communications agencies working with over 150 brands across B2B, Consumer, Corporate and Govt. sectors. Senior roles have included Shanghai Office Head at MSL, Executive Director at Grayling for China including establishing offices in Shanghai and Beijing; Senior Director at BlueDigital (China’s largest comms agency); Managing Director of Teneo, and Vice-President Corporate Communications at Huawei in Shenzhen.

    She established Anoumis Communications and Trailing Around Asia in 2024.

    Harriet is from the UK and holds a BA and MA in Music, Durham University & Shanghai Music Conservatory; an MA in Mass Communications, Leicester University, UK; an Executive MBA - Hult International Business School; and an MA in International Affairs with Cybersecurity, King's College London, UK. Harriet is a published author and also writes for Towards AI on Ethics, and Runner’s Life about ultramarathons.
