What to Expect:

  • Karen Yuen, Senior Director at AmCham Shanghai, will provide insights on how companies can benefit from membership.
  • Opportunities for Meaningful Connections: Engage in structured networking activities, including speed networking sessions and interactive discussions, specifically designed to foster meaningful connections with like-minded entrepreneurs. Make valuable contacts and build relationships with potential partners, suppliers, and collaborators from various industries.
  • As part of our Networking Matchmaking Event, we invite all members to submit a one-page PowerPoint presentation (PPT) to introduce themselves and showcase their businesses for 1min. This is an excellent opportunity to make a memorable impression and highlight your unique offerings to potential partners.
  • Face to face communication session with all the member companies.


Submission Guidelines:

A single-slide PPT with Key Information: your company name, logo, your WeChat QR code, and a brief overview of your products/services.

Non-members:

If you are not currently a member, you can register to attend by providing your work email, company name and job title. We will not approve registrations that use non-work email addresses. If we have any remaining slots available, we will also invite non-members to introduce themselves.


Member Submission Instructions:

1. Save your one-page PPT as a PDF file.

2. Email the PDF file to michelle.li@amcham-shanghai.org with the subject line "Introduction PPT Submission - [Your Name/Company]."


Note: The deadline for PPT submissions is 5pm, 6th August. Ensure that your submission reaches us before this date.

    Karen Yuen

    Senior Director, Corporate & Commercial Development of AmCham Shanghai

    Karen previously worked at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai for 7 years starting in 2005, during which she formulated, implemented, and perfected business plans for expanding membership, services, sponsorship, advertising, and publications. She also managed all AmCham Shanghai member services and member engagement plans, including the formulation and implementation of new initiatives to better serve members and promote business development.
    Before returning to AmCham Shanghai in 2019, Karen held leadership roles at the Worldwide ERC and The Conference Board, where she served as the Asia Pacific Managing Director and China Economics and Business Center leader, respectively. Her in-depth understanding of the Chamber of Commerce and her involvement in various fields make her a valuable asset to the organization, helping to make AmCham Shanghai more perfect and systematic in the fields of member management and business development.
    Karen received her degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
