On March 9, AmCham Shanghai's Manufacturing Business Council & Supply Chain Committee will host a joint 2022 China Manufacturing and Supply Chain Outlook. We'll begin with a macro view of China and the global economy before looking into the key trends and challenges facing the manufacturing and supply chain sectors in China for the upcoming year. Following the economists' presentations, the chairs of the committees will host panel discussions with key industry experts to discuss best practices for scenario planning in uncertain times. We hope you'll join us for a comprehensive look at the indicators affecting business and for practical sharing on how to prepare for another challenging year.

Supply Chain Panel: Moderated by Committee Chair Jarrod Ward, this panel will bring together experts from physical transportation, manufacturing, and retailors to speak about the challenges in operating in a COVID-interrupted industry, their outlook for the coming year, and examples of local government support.

Manufacturing Panel: Moderated by Council Chair Ted Hornbein, this panel will bring together general managers from a broad range of manufacturers to speak about important trends for 2022 such as labor unrest, the impact of the Made in China 2.0 plan, carbon emissions allowances, and COVID-related challenges.
