Event Details

AmCham Shanghai's Financial Services Committee (FSC) will host a webinar/ in-person masterclass on China investment management.

Have you ever wondered how the best China fund managers generate superior returns? Where are they looking? What factors are relevant? Which strategies are appropriate? This panel event will include top experts who will discuss different ways to take positions in the China market and compare the trade-offs: long-term investing versus short-term trading, private versus public markets, onshore (RMB) versus offshore (USD) exposure, top-down macro versus bottoms-up security analysis; value versus growth. No matter your experience level, you're guaranteed to come out better informed about investing in China.

The event will start with a brief primer by Han Lin (NYU Shanghai) on the China economy. We will then be joined by a thoughtful and deeply experienced panel of fund managers consisting of Curt Ferguson (Ventech), Wenjie Lu (BlackRock), Cindy Zhou (XY Investments), and Brett Barna (Barna Family Office) who will share their extraordinary insights on the China investment landscape.

For those who can join the event in-person at the AmCham office, sandwich lunch will be provided.
