AmCham Shanghai's Food, Agriculture & Beverage Committee and the Art & Culture Committee invite you to an exclusive tour of Bishan Village in Huangshan, Anhui from Friday to Saturday, October 22 – 23 (1 night/2 day stay). Bishan Village has China's most beautiful countryside bookstore, an old Marketing Cooperatives cherished with local arts and crafts as well as most cozy countryside hotels. This private tour will be lead by More Ding, Founder & CEO of Bishan Village Brand beverages and owner of the Dog's Bistro.


The tour will include

* Free bikes to enjoy the rustic scenery of the Bishan countryside

* Stay at the Pig Inn's No.2, constructed in the late Qing Dynasty, is an old Huizhou style residence

* Bishan Bookstore, the first bookstore built in rural China in modern times that was votedChina's Most Beautiful Countryside Bookstore by CNN

* Admire the local arts in Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, a museum combined with traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art

* Tasting of a variety of juice, soda, rice wine, and beers from Bishan craft beer


How to get there:

Train time: 2.5 – 3 hours (one way)

Bus time: 1 hour (one way)

    Founder of Bishan Village Brand

    More Ding is the Founder and CEO of Bishan Village Brand. He also owns and runs the Dog's Bistro at the Bishan Village in Anhui. He was nominated as one of the Hurun "30 under 30" in 2020.

    After he graduated high school in Shanghai, he decided to take on his parents' heritage in 2014, the renowned hostel Pig's Inn in Bishan. In 2016, he opened up Dog's Bistro as a community space for the villagers and started his micro-brewery, which developed into the Bishan Village Brand later on.

    Apart from his business, he is also an amateur artist, whose paintings have been exhibited in art galleries and biennial exhibitions.
