AmCham Shanghai is pleased to invite you to the second session of this year’s CSR Impact Series: Preparing for China’s Nationwide Launch of Carbon Market on Tuesday, April 25, from 14:00–16:00, at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.

In 2015, President Xi announced that China would launch a national emission trading system in 2017. The system would cover key industry sectors such as iron and steel, power generation, chemicals, building materials, paper-making and nonferrous metals. Since then, China has launched seven regional pilot markets, including one in Shanghai. How will these policy impact foreign businesses? What should companies do if they want to enter the world’s largest carbon market?

At this event, experts from Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, the Environmental Defense Fund, and leading private sector companies involved in this initiative, will share their perspectives on the program and their experiences participating in a pilot carbon market.

AmCham Shanghai’s CSR Impact Series provides CSR professionals opportunities to hear from experts and share views on CSR and sustainability issues that impact their business. For more information on AmCham Shanghai CSR programs, please contact daisy.lu@amcham-shanghai.org.
