Author Talk Series: "Outsider" ("洋盘"), with Christopher St. Cavish

The Merchants Shanghai is housed in a historic three-story building that was once the literature department of Shanghai Film Group, where movie directors gathered and famous film scripts were written. The Merchant Shanghai is a multi-conceptual store that combines the best of The Merchants brand. It houses M Natural, a casual dining bistro that focuses on natural cooking using premium locally sourced ingredients, cooking using raw natural materials and producing everything in-house; M Coffee, The Merchant's specialty coffee brand that emphasizes small-batch coffee production; M Bakery, The Merchant's artisanal bakery brand that practices the motto "slow & naked" by which all of the bread products are slowly and naturally fermented, with "naked" meaning without unnecessary and unhealthy sugar coatings and colorings; and The Bar, an intimate, specialized cocktail bar. Artisan is the key to the house and to the products.
