Ms. Dan Wang is currently the Chief Economist of Hang Seng Bank (China), responsible for China related research, macro forecast, Sino-US relation and geopolitical risk analysis.

Dan previously worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) where she spent 5 years as China Chief Analyst, leading forecast and research. Prior to that, she was a postdoc fellow in Chinese Academy of Sciences as an economist, specialising in agriculture. Dan holds a PhD in economics from University of Washington, with a focus on environment and econometrics.

Ping Yi is a partner in Bain & Company‘s Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Performance Improvement practices, based in Shanghai.

A core member of our Greater China Automotive and industrial goods teams, Ping holds notably polished expertise in EV strategy, mobility, channel management and efficiency improvement. Her recent sector work has focused on the passenger car and light truck OEM sphere, as well as construction machinery and machine tools.

More broadly, her two-decade consulting record has involved:
• Developing the channel strategy for a leading Chinese OEM;
• Designing and implementing the neighborhood electric vehicle and mobility service for a newly established private OEM; and various projects encompassing innovation, cost-cutting, strategy, organization, talent for leading original equipment suppliers and Industry 4.0.

Prior to joining us, Ping worked for two other premier global consulting firms.

She holds an EMBA from CEIBS and a Master of Engineering from Tongji University.

Experience: in overall operations and supply chain management. Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt, CPIM.

Worked for companies: Flex, Schneider, Microsoft and now Starkey as APAC Operations Director
