AmCham Shanghai is pleased to invite you to a Policy Briefing on Shanghai's Environmental Policies on November 17th at AmCham Shanghai. Hu Jing, Director of the Low-Carbon Development Department at Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences (SAES), which is under the Shanghai EPA, will introduce the government's working plan for the development of a greener and healthier city. Hu will explain the emission permit policy (ๆŽ’ๆฑก่ฎธๅฏ่ฏๅˆถๅบฆ)๏ผŒcarbon emission quota trading(็ขณๆŽ’ๆ”พไบคๆ˜“), best practices for a green supply chain(็ปฟ่‰ฒไพ›ๅบ”้“พ็ฎก็†ๅฎž่ทต), and the environmental tax(็Žฏไฟ็จŽ) which will be implemented starting Jan 1, 2018.

    Ms. Hu Jing is the Senior Engineer and Director of Shanghai Low Carbon Economy Research Center at Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences. Hu is also a member of the Administrative Committee of Shanghai Academic Society for Eco-Economy and Shanghai Energy Research Society. As an expert of low carbon development planning, evaluation and monitoring, Hu has led more than 30 major research projects, including ‘Shanghai’s 12th/13th-Five-Year Environmental Protection Master Plan’, ‘Shanghai’s 12th/13th -Five-Year Planning Response to Climate Change’, ‘Carbon Footprint Evaluation and Monitoring System in Chongming Island’ , ‘Environmental Strategy and Measures for Transformation of Development Mode in Eastern China’.
