    Mr. Gan has been a Managing Partner and member of the investment committee of Qiming Venture Partners since 2006. Mr. Gan was ranked #30 globally by Forbes Magazine’s Midas List in 2017 and has been named a top ten venture capitalist in China by multiple magazines and institutions including the Forbes China, ChinaVenture, CBN Weekly several years in the row. His successful investments include Meitu Inc. (1357.HK), Ctrip.com International Limited (CTRP.Nasdaq, a director since 2001), Dianping.com (merged into China Internet Plus Holding), Jiayuan.com, Taomee, ATL and PPS Inc. (acquired by Baidu).

    Previously, Mr. Gan spent five years at The Carlyle Group and was a Director and founding member of Carlyle’s Asian venture fund. He also worked at KongZhong Corporation as its Chief Financial Officer, as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, and as a consultant at then-Price Waterhouse.

    Mr. Gan obtained his BBA from the University of Iowa and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a member of the Chicago Booth’ Global Advisory Board.
