The AmCham Shanghai China Business Climate Survey is one of the longest running surveys of U.S. business in China. This year, 426 companies shared their views and insights on a wide range of topics, including trends in company performance, challenges and investment, as well as questions about trade policy, hiring conditions and the regulatory environment.

AmCham Shanghai cordially invites you to the release of the 2017 China Business Report on Wednesday, July 12, from 11:30–13:30 at the PwC Innovation Center. This lunch presentation is a unique opportunity to learn what your industry peers think about the operating environment in China. Distinguished panelists will also offer their interpretation of the data, as well about the opportunities offered by trends such as urbanization and growing discretionary spending in China.

    Mark Gilbraith is the Management Consulting Leader for the PwC China Consulting practice and leads Consumer, Health, and TMT sectors for Consulting. He has been helping companies improve their performance over 30 years in applying experience gained across three continents and convergent industries to help his clients meet their objectives and achieve rapid growth.

    Mark works across acquisitive and organic growth strategies of clients with a focus on excellence in execution. He’s been involved with operating model design, post deal integration, business service alignment, sales and inventory operational planning, go to market analysis and implementation, as well as commercial due diligence and market entry feasibility.

    Mark began his career in business service transformation. He is an American CPA, qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has an eMBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

    President Asia Pacific at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

    Delaney joined Goodyear with more than 30 years of global leadership experience in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and the Middle East. Prior to Goodyear, he was the CEO for four years of Goodman Fielder Limited, the largest public food company in Australia and New Zealand.

    Delaney’s career includes 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Procter & Gamble Co. He worked in sales and business development in both North America and Europe before becoming vice president and general manager, first in the Middle East and then in North America. Delaney then spent seven years at the Campbell Soup Company, first leading international sales before becoming president, emerging markets and later president, Asia Pacific.

    President at Stanley Black and Decker Asia

    Christine Yingli Yan is the President of Stanley Black and Decker Asia. She is responsible for the P&L of Stanley Black and Decker’s businesses in Greater China, Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia.

    Christine previously served as the president of the storage and workspace systems business. She also served as the integration leader of Stanley Engineered Fastening Group when it acquired Infastech as well as the President of Stanley Engineered Fastening - Americas. From 2006 – 2008, she was president of the company’s global automotive business where she was responsible for sales and marketing, research and development and customer service for the group.

    Christine began her career as an engineering intern in 1989 at Emhart Technologies, Black & Decker’s fastening and assembly systems group. During her tenure there she held a number of positions including engineering manager, general manager of China operations, vice president of research and development and vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s North American automotive business.

    Christine holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Shandong University.
