AmCham Shanghai’s Technology and Innovation Committee invites you to join us for presentations and a discussion on Data Security on Tuesday, June 13 from 10:00 -11:30 at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Room.

In light of the recent global ransomware attacks, data security will be a critical factor for IIoT, Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing 2025. Digital transformation of traditional industries is an exciting proposition but can turn into a nightmare if companies do not have their security infrastructure in place to handle new susceptibility to cyber assaults.

Hear from two experts Dai-Kyu Kim, Co-founder, FASSKey IoT Cyber Security and Ivo Raznjevic, VP, Business Development, ForceShield, who will help us understand why there have been many security breaches at personal, company and national levels lately; why it is so difficult to protect data; and what the future trends in detection and prevention of security attacks are. The session will help you understand:

  • What is the type of data that is valuable these days for companies, nations as well as the bad guys
  • What are some of the ways in which our personal data is exposed, collected and used
  • What are some of the ramifications of others (people, company and governments) having access to data regarding our daily lives
  • What are typical ways companies end up losing their digital data (customer info, credit card data, email addresses)
  • What are some strategies we can take to better protect ourselves as individuals
  • What are the options for a company to build a more secure environment for its digital corporate assets
  • What are some security challenges as we enter the world of a sharing economy, IoT and Industry 4.0
  • How did IT security get into such a mess
  • How bad it really is, and why IoT will make it much much worse - through the weaponization millions hijacked IoT devices into huge botnet zombie armies that are being used to attack companies, infrastructure and nations

Join the experts who will give us an inside look at the critical topic of data security in the digital age we are living in.
