The Simitri Dealing with Difficult People Workshop gives participants the interpersonal skills, insight, and communication techniques to effectively deal with challenging people in the workplace.

During the workshop, we first explore what can make people difficult: time is of the essence, stakes are high, internal politics, or a variety of emotional/personal issues.

From there, we help participants understand the real impact the difficult person has on his/her performance. With this understanding, the participants are then in a position to use a number of tools, techniques, and tips to maintain control of the situation and minimize the negative impact of the difficult person.

By completing this workshop, participants will:
  • Understand the difference between a difficult person and a difficult situation
  • Examine a person from multiple dimensions, resulting in a broader understanding
  • Speak in a manner that ensures the other party will listen
  • Develop strategies to deal with difficult people
  • Communicate effectively with people who are difficult

Through pre-workshop customization, the course becomes more relevant to the participants, resulting in a higher absorption level and ensuring immediate use of the new skills in the workplace.
  • We work with your management team and the participants to understand the issues facing your business.
  • We modify the key topics, workshop agenda, and course duration to meet your learning and development objectives.
  • We develop new training content to address the specific needs of your organization, your team, and the individuals.
  • We create customized case studies for interactive discussions and role-plays.
