AmCham Shanghai's Real Estate & Construction Committee invites you to attend a committee roundtable on Friday, May 26, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at the WeWork Office space located on 2F, Phase I, East Ocean Centre, 588 Yan An Dong Lu.

Joining us for keynote presentations on how workplace strategy can impact the well-being and health of employees will be Louie Cheng, President, PureLiving China, Guillaume de La Hosseraye, Co-Founder, AWB Health, and Sihao Kuo, Operations Director, SPIRIT. A panel discussion will follow our three keynote speeches.

Several key points and issues will be discussed, including:

• Workplace strategy's role in improving employee well-being and health
• How workplace design can cultivate more productive, creative and innovative employees
• Key tenets of wellness including being engaged, authenticity in business lives, a sense of optimism, being connected with others, physical and intellectual vitality and a sense of purpose
• Workplace layouts including indoor and outdoor spaces that can be modified while encouraging connections
• Different types of offices setups, especially shared workplaces and community engagement programs
• Air and water quality assurance issues

    Originally from the US, Louie founded PureLiving in 2010 to meet the demand for clean indoor air and water in China. Today, with operations in 5 cities across China and India, PureLiving is the total provider for assessment, engineering, implementation, and monitoring of indoor environmental quality. Over 40% of the Fortune 100 companies in China are PureLiving clients.

    Louie has over 20 years of scientific consulting experience as a chemical warfare engineer with the US Army, trained with the US CDC, and was formerly the Asia Strategy Director for Thomson Reuters’ Scientific Division.

    Louie is the chapter director of the China Chapter of the Indoor Air Quality Association, has personally led over 1600 indoor environmental and green building projects and is a frequent public speaker for radio, television, and industry associations including CoreNet, IFMA, and BOMA. He holds a BA from Harvard and MBA from Dartmouth Business School.

AWB focuses on Wellness at Workplace since 2014, and now a recognized organization in this field having 40+ corporate clients.

    Before starting its entrepreneurial journey, Guillaume was CFO of Reed Business Asia in China for 8 years, part of Reed Elsevier home of Estate Gazette, Interior Design, MIPIM, MAPIM etc.

    Guillaume is also very much involved in Real Estate , being the co founder of Serenity Investment UK specialized in residential redevelopment in South London. Guillaume is mainly in charge with Chinese investors relationship.

    Guillaume hold a master in Corporate Finance from Sorbonne University, and an AMDP in Real Estate at Harvard University.

    Sihao is operations director for the company SPIRIT. He was born and raised in the Netherlands
    and studied Strategic Management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

    During his time in the Netherlands, he gained valuable experiences in the F&B business through his
    family business, festival event organisation and brand marketing. Five years ago, Sihao arrived in
    Shanghai to finally learn and explore more about his Chinese heritage. He worked several years in
    the high-pressure exhibition & events industry. From that and through his experience in
    living in China, he noticed the changing Chinese workforce preferences towards a better lifestyle
    and health.

    With his passion and experience for sports and wellness, he decided to join forces with SPIRIT and help
    lead this company in making employees in China more fit, engage in more team sports and be
    overall happier and more loyal employees.
