AmCham Shanghai’s Financial Services Committee invites you to attend a members-only lunchtime event on Monday, March 20 from 12:00 – 13:30 at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Centre on China’s Banks: A Prism for Understanding the Political Economy.

Guest speaker, James Stent, independent author of 'China's Banking Transformation The Untold Story', will present on two cases from his book: Chinese banks have transformed over the past 15 years into modern entities with high levels of professional competence, and Chinese banks are deeply embedded in a traditional Chinese cultural cognitive framework. Leading into a broader discussion of how China's banking system creates a commentary of the political-economic environment in China and the rest of the world and challenging the consensus foreign view of Chinese banking as fragile and dysfunctional.

This event is for Members-Only and RSVP is required.
