Background:
Grace Liu graduated from Tongji University with a 14-year of experience in green building consulting. She earns the title of senior engineer in green building technology research and development (Shanghai rating) and senior engineer in heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineering (Ministry of Construction rating).
She was hired as an expert in the Shanghai Green Building Association, technical commissioner of the China Urban Science Research Institute for green building evaluation, energy saving and green building identification assessment expert in Ya’an, Zhoukou, Quanzhou, Shangqiu, Dandong, peak carbon neutrality expert in the construction of Minhang District in Shanghai, and expert member of the Green Building and Energy Saving Expert Committee of the China Urban Science Research Institute.
She was the Chairman of China Academy of Building Science Research from 2010-2022 and is currently the Director of Deloitte's Sustainable Development and Climate Change Business Group in China, Global Infrastructure Services Center. She led over 500 green health consulting projects, over 80 LEED/WELL/BREEAM projects, 5 corporate dual-carbon projects, and 2 National Green Building Innovation Awards. She completed 7 essays independently, involving the writings of “Shanghai Green Building Completion and Acceptance Standards“, ”Carbon Neutral Indoor Space Evaluation Standards“, and "Public Toilet Construction Standards in Xiong'an New Area". Since undertaking the work of the project manager, all the green construction projects in her charge have been able to successfully pass assessment and obtain certificate results, the project types cover parks, residences, offices, super high-rises, hotels, campuses, factories, exhibition halls, etc.
Beyond construction sector, Grace also focused on ESG strategies, ESG management systems, climate change policy, greenhouse gas emissions accounting (Scope 1, 2 and 3), product carbon footprint (PCF), carbon neutral/net zero/decarbonization roadmap, scientific carbon target (SBTi), financial disclosure (TCFD), ESG rating support (CDP, MSCI, DJSI, GRESB and others), and ESG due diligence services.
