AmCham Shanghai's Government Affairs Committee cordially invites you to join our government affairs practitioners roundtable on Tuesday, April 20 from 12:45-14:30 at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center. Bruce Fu, Senior Director and Co-lead of the Global Tech Practice at APCO will provide his insights from the Two Sessions, with a particular focus on what we learnt about the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 and the main themes from the Plan including "dual circulation", indigenous innovation, cybersecurity, and digital transformation and etc.


Bruce will also discuss the key trends such as decoupling and technology self-dependence and provide his thoughts on how companies could navigate the various regulatory and geopolitical issues under the Biden administration.


Following Bruce's presentation, we will have a roundtable discussion and will have participants to share company's case studies.

    Bruce Fu

    Senior Director and Co-lead of the Global Tech Practice at APCO

    Bruce Fu is a senior director in APCO Worldwide's based in Beijing and co-lead of APCO’s global technology practice. At APCO, Mr. Fu provides clients with counsel on cutting-edge issues in the technology sector such as market entry, standardization, privacy and data protection.

    Prior to joining APCO, Mr. Fu was a business manager at the European Chamber, where he worked closely with the European telecommunications industry to promote the cooperation and dialogue between Chinese and European authorities on key technology issues.

    Mr. Fu also served as the Vice Chair of ICT Working Group of EU Chamber of Commerce in China. He obtained master's degrees in European studies and European modern history from the Catholic University of Leuven. He is fluent in English and Chinese and speaks intermediate French.
