In HR, we are used to planning training. We conduct our Training Needs Analysis, then create the training calendar and let people enroll through our LMS. Sometimes Managers request certain types of training, and we match our training catalog to their request.

But in this age of slower economic growth, complexity, disruption and fast pace of change, we can't afford to take this approach anymore. Business needs are changing all the time. Training is not the solution to every problem. We need to focus on ENABLING BUSINESS PERFORMANCE, and solving performance problems FAST.

In this Performance Consulting webinar, Jamie Dixon will share with you a 5 step Performance Consulting approach that he uses with his own clients to help you:

  • Turn training requests into performance focused conversations
  • Identify the root cause of performance gaps
  • Categorize the different types of performance gaps and propose the most efficient solutions for each one
  • Avoid running training for the wrong reasons
  • Identify the skill-sets you need to develop to improve your consulting skills
  • Make a bigger impact in your organisation

Session Outline

We'll look at tools and techniques for each of these 5 steps:

  1. Define the Problem
  2. Agree Well Defined Outcomes
  3. Identify Key Actions
  4. Identify Barriers to Action
  5. Propose Practical Solutions
