High performing teams are "a must of the day" for any successful business performance. A more diverse range of behavioral styles presented by the team members means more opportunities, but it also means more complexity to be skillfully managed. Extended DISC ยฎ is a behavioral instrument that helps diagnose team members' natural preferences vs their adaptive styles during a range of scenarios, such as communicating and interacting with others, becoming motivated and motivating others, and playing a specific team role.
Mapping individual preferences of team members, both natural and adaptive, helps to easily diagnose and address the team's strengths and challenges. Extended DISC ยฎ recognizes 160 different behavioral styles which are the combinations of the four basic styles: Dominance (D โ style), Influence (I โ style), Steadiness (S โ style) and Conscientious (C โ style). The distance between the natural style and adaptive style indicates the amount of effort needed to fill the gap. The overall exercise may lead to constructive discussions resulting in individual and/or team related development and improvement plans.
