Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment recently granted environmental impact assessment (EIA) exemptions for certain construction projects that are in various industrial, social services, infrastructure and environmental governance categories. This is part of the Shanghai government's efforts to improve the city's business environment and decrease regulatory hurdles for companies operating in Shanghai.
Cai Wenjie from Environmental Impact Assessment Division at the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment will conduct a workshop on the new policy and answer questions connected with EIAs on Thursday, March 21 9:30 - 11:00 am (registration starts at 9:00 am).
