  • Major changes to the 2018 tax year affecting most expatriate tax filers such as:
  1. New format for Form 1040, the standard U.S. Individual Income Tax Return
  2. Adjusted tax rates, and decrease of the top tax bracket
  3. Increased standard deduction for all tax filers. The new amounts are: 1) Single or -Suspension of the personal exemption has been suspended (e.g. for your spouse or dependents).

  2. Automatic filing extensions (and additional ones that may be available)
  3. Foreign earned income exclusion and housing allowance/exclusion

    2015. Prior to joining the firm, Gary held a senior manager position

    servicing multi-national corporate clients in employee assignment
    related tax matters. He had also worked in an international insurance
    group managing international assignment issues. Gary has more than
    twenty years experience in U.S. expatriate taxation, and holds the
    qualification of Enrolled Agent, which is the highest credential
    awarded by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
