Colleen Altstock is the Political and Economic Chief at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai. Prior to this position, Ms. Altstock was Chief of the Global Affairs Unit in the Office of Chinese Affairs. A career Foreign Service Officer, Ms. Altstock has worked in the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, the U.S. Consulate in Shenyang and the U.S. Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan. At the State Department in Washington, DC, she was Chief of the Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights Unit in the Office of the Geographer and Global Issues in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, and Chief of the Political Unit in the Office of Russian Affairs. In 2021, Ms. Altstock completed a Master’s degree in Strategic Intelligence at the National Intelligence University in Bethesda, Maryland.
Ms. Altstock holds B.A. degrees (in International Studies, Economics, and Asian Studies) from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Richard is the Managing Director of Collective Responsibility, the Founder of HandsOn China, and an Adjunct Professor of Sustainability and Social Innovation at Southern Methodist University, driven by the belief that change begins with a single step, Richard Brubaker has spent the last 20 years in Asia working to engage, inspire, and equip those around him to take their first step.
To date, Richard has overseen the development and execution of more than 200 projects focused on solving the social, environmental, and economic challenges that are faced in Asia. Richard holds a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Will Li is a HPE China Leadership Team member based out of Beijing office, joined HPEFS in 2022. He serves GTM Lead in HPEFS, focus on IT assets lifecycle service business development in Great China, including IT Equipment investment consulting, procurement, leasing, decommissioning, data sanitization, upcycling, and remarketing for reuse.
He has 20 years of leasing, industrial assets management and supply chain finance experience with top large global companies. Prior to joining HPEFS, Will worked with Deutsche Leasing and Far Eastern Leasing.
Sophia Zou is a partner and the head of our China Sustainability and Energy Transformation practices. She is based in Shanghai. She has more than a decade of management consulting experience, specializing in ESG and energy sectors covering new energy and sustainability, M&A, change management, transformation as well as operational efficiency improvement. As a practice leader, she has worked extensively with Chinese and multinational companies on a wide range of consulting projects.
Sophia is the author of Bain China's 2021 Sustainability Report and co-author of our 2021 & 2022 Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Company Competitiveness Index, in collaboration with the China Business Journal Think Tank and Business Management Review.
Sophia also focuses on the high-tech industry, especially in the semiconductor sector, where she has deep insights and extensive project experience. She is specialized in organizational change and transformation with rich experience advising clients on performance improvement.

Born and educated in Hong Kong, Danick began his career at Interface’s Hong Kong office, where he spent five years honing his expertise in sustainable flooring solutions. In 2017, he relocated to Interface Shanghai, focusing on promoting low-embodied-carbon flooring solutions.

Vincent has over 16 years of experience in the textile and fashion industry. He is the co-founder of Remakehub, a startup that focuses on turning waste into valuable products and materials for the apparel and plastic industry. He also serves as Director of Cheng Kung Garments, a 47 years old family business that focuses on garment products for premium brands using sustainable materials and processes.
Vincent also works with different startup accelerators such as Fashion for Good, German Accelerator, and Startupbootcamp as a mentor and advisor to help startups in the Fashion industry.
Sophie Song is the HR Director of Avery Dennison, Label and Graphic Materials, Greater China. Sophie is a seasoned HR leader with extensive international exposure, she has broad experience in managing vision/purpose as well as organization development/change management.

Ellen is an impact investor turned General Manager at Reset Carbon, an environmental consulting firm with 14+ years of experience in Asia helping enterprises make meaningful carbon footprint reduction. She has devoted her time in helping many Fortune 500 businesses reduce their global carbon footprint and meeting their carbon neutral goals through executing on the ground with the businesses and their value chain. She drives value by leveraging the strengths of diverse backgrounds and creating long term strategic and sustainable plan. She was previously a Chief Information Officer at a Manulife-Sinochem Life Insurance with 2 decades of experience in technology and data and had worked internationally across New York, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Ellen has degrees in Mathematics & Economics from Smith College, a Data Science degree from the MIT Digital Program, and a certification in International Relations and Quantitative Methods in Economics & Business from Harvard.

Steven has more than 15 years of combined consulting and industry experience. He has deep operational experience serving predominately leading companies from various industries in the areas of strategy and target operating model development, end-to-end process design and optimization, program management, performance improvement and value maximization, sales and marketing, channel management, route to market and trade promotion analysis.
Prior to joining PwC’s PRTM, Steven worked at Accenture U.K. while managing projects on outsourcing risk management. He also worked for Nokia China and SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), where he focused on dedicated supply chain and demand management projects.
Steven earned his Master of Science from Manchester Business School, specializing in operations management. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and completed one year exchange program in economics with University of Southampton. Steven completed the Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program by APICS and also he is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He also speaks English and Mandarin Chinese fluently.
