AmCham Shanghai's Real Estate and Constructions Committee invites you to a discussion on the Shanghai commercial property market outlook for 2019 on Wednesday, February 20 from 12:00–13:45 at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.


James MacDonald, Head of Savills Research, China , Christina Lashko, Executive Director, Occupier Services Group, Head of Enterprise, Cushman & Wakefield Shanghai, and Stuart Ross, Head of Industry, JLL China, will share their insights and present an overview forecast of Shanghai's retail, office, and industrial sectors in the new year.


This will be a brown bag lunch event.

    Christina has worked with commercial real estates service for past 15 years in Shanghai, Beijing & Singapore. Her work experience includes building sales, built to suit project, office leasing -relocation, expansion, consolidation and renewal, early termination consultants services for those MNC companies in core CBD, DBD and Business park in Shanghai. Her strong business development, communication and negotiation skills have made her strong position in the office market through providing clients with excellent services and market knowledge.

    Christina mainly focuses on large MNC and local enterprise office relocation, renewal, expansion, consolidation & purchase of commercial properties in Shanghai.

    James Macdonald was appointed as Head of Savills Research, China in 2007. He has the overall responsibility to ensure the successful delivery and expansion of Savills research capabilities as well as to consolidate and integrate all research activities across mainland China. The research team covers a wide range of cities and assets classes.

    The increased capabilities of the Research department will support the continuing expansion of the company in one of the world’s fastest developing nations, securing Savills position as a dominant player in the China real estate market.

    As the head of research James has spoken at numerous conferences hosted by PERE, REIW, MIPIM and ULI as well as various other chambers of commerce and investment banks, he is also frequently cited in both the trade press and mainstream business press.

    Originally from London, UK, James has lived and worked in Shanghai since 2002. Since joining Savills that year, James has been actively involved in the growth of the Research department, advising and liaising with numerous international and domestic developers, and financial institutions.

    Regional Director, Head of Industrial at JLL China

    Stuart Ross is responsible for management and direction of the China Industrial business, with a focus on Logistics, Manufacturing and Investment. Stuart coordinates these specialty teams via 50+ dedicated industrial specialists throughout sixteen JLL offices in Greater China. Focus is on superior client service and delivering best practice in transactional, consultancy and other integrated services on behalf of private, government and institutional clients in China, and abroad.

    Stuart also oversees JLL China’s Industrial site selection team who assist foreign companies navigate the many State, Provincial and City level Industrial Parks for their investment into China. This involves not only determining the most appropriate real estate transaction but includes detailed government negotiation relating to investment incentives both for tax and other (soft) factors.

    Prior to this position, Stuart worked for 15 years in Sydney’s Industrial market with exposure to all markets in the south, north and west.

    Stuart sits on the JLL Global Industrial Board as the only representative for Asia Pacific.
