Isn't it better to quickly learn how to convince and influence others instead of confusing them? And isn't it true that every woman, man, and child attempts to influence others?


Regardless of who, what and why you want to influence, all of us could do with a few more simple influence tools. This one day workshop โ€“will teach you how to get more influence tools, and practice it so that you have more confidence in your ability to influence.

Session Outline

The key topics we'll cover to boost your influence skills are:


  • Awareness of your personal brand: believe it or not, we all unconsciously project our beliefs and values to others and this can help or hinder our influence attempts, often before we even start! So we must know, understand and control the hidden signals we send to others.


  • What others experience when we influence them: we'll discover how to see things from the other person's perspective and why all humans experience your influence attempts as either a reward or threat to them, which is why they accept or avoid your influence!


  • Tools of influence: discover the tools of planned and unplanned influence (unplanned influence is instant influence). Examples of these influence tools are (1) how to ask very simple questions to understand the fears and doubts of the person we want to influence, (2) how to read the other person's general mood, and that person's specific thoughts and feelings about the topic being discussed, (3) how to use special words and language patterns that make influence easier, faster and more effective.

This workshop will help anyone and everyone who needs a boost in their influence skills, or a boost in their confidence to influence.

    Jeff was fascinated and frustrated by all his failed influence attempts since his twenties right until his forties! So he studied language patterns, accelerated learning, coaching techniques, NLP, and even hypnosis to deepen his understanding of the what, why and how of influence. When he added lessons from Neuroscience and how the brain works, everything about influence became clear!

    Before starting REV Training in 2006, Jeff served for 26 years as a helicopter pilot with the Singapore Air Force. Today, in addition to running REV, Jeff inspires others to find meaning in life, and shares super simple and fun tips and tools with them to live the life they deserve.

Registration

  • All registrations shall be made online before the session. For full-day sessions, payment also shall be made before the session.
  • For half-day sessions, AmCham Shanghai members are eligible to attend free of charge with Training Credit*; AmCham Shanghai members without Training Credit are eligible to attend at “Member Rate”; Employees who work at AmCham Shanghai member companies are eligible to attend at "Employee Rate".
  • For full-day sessions, AmCham Shanghai members are eligible to attend at “Member Rate”; Employees who work at AmCham Shanghai member companies are eligible to attend at “Employee Rate”; Non-members are eligible to attend at “Non-Member Rate”.
  • Limited spaces are available and attendance will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Walk-in and Cancellation Policy
  • This session requires confirmation of attendance in advance. If you attend this session without prior registration, you will be charged an RMB50 "walk-in" fee as member and RMB100 as employee.
  • Cancellation: If you need to cancel your registration for a half-day session, please notify Ivette Corominas at (86 21) 6279 7119 ext. 5671 or email ivette.corominas@amcham-shanghai.org no less than 24 hours in advance. If you need to cancel your registration for a full-day session, please notify Ivette Corominas at least two weeks prior to the session for a full refund. Cancellation made within two weeks before the session will not be refundable.
  • To ensure that you have a seat, please come to the session on time. Open seats will be released to other guests 15 minutes after the session starts.
