Since the early 1990’s Richard has worked with schools and education, firstly in South Africa, then joining Scholastic in 1997 where he started working with the international schools. Since then, Richard has become an integral part of the K-12, English-medium international school scene, spending 11 years with Scholastic’s education division before joining ISC Research (ISC) in 2008.

As Schools Director at ISC Research, Richard is often seen presenting at regional association conferences and at global investment events about data and trends within the market. He personally visits many leading international schools and groups each year supporting them with key development decisions.
Richard manages all ISC research projects outside the UK and is frequently quoted in the national and international media. Richard is based in Thailand with his wife, three children and three Jack Russell terriers.

Mr. Gauthier has a deep and rich background in education that informs all his work. A teacher and administrator in independent schools in the United States for over 25 years, he has held a variety of leadership positions: academic department chair, accreditation coordinator, curriculum coordinator, and high school principal. Prior to leading Shanghai American School as the Head of School Marcel served as the Deputy Head of School at the Puxi campus and prior to that was the Deputy Head of School at Waterford School in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Marcel Gauthier received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. His interests include writing, hiking, Korean martial arts, and abstract photography.

Diane Jacoutot,BSc ,MBA ,REC, is the founder and Managing Director of Edvectus Ltd which specialises in developing innovative and knowledge-based strategies for the recruitment of western trained teachers to international schools. She has almost 20 years of experience in international education recruitment and a successful track record of establishing successful international teacher recruitment companies, Edvectus being her second.

Mrs Jacoutot's articles on recruitment and retention have been published in the British International Schools magazine, Canadian Teacher Magazine, The Australian Teacher and Sec Ed. She has presented on international school recruitment strategies at COBIS, AAIE, IPSEF and FOBISSEA conferences.
