This event starts with a live streaming lunch session of 2018 China Business Report from 11:30 to 13:30. Joined by Scott Sternberg, Senior Deputy Non-Immigrant Visa Chief, U.S. Consulate in Shanghai, we will have a U.S. Visa policy briefing and Q&A from 14:00 to 15:00.

Scott Sternberg has been a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State since 2003. He has served in Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, Shenyang, and Guangzhou in multiple consular management positions. Most recently he served in Florence, Italy as post's Deputy Principal Officer where he held a multi-hatted position as Consular Chief, Management Officer, and Post Security Officer. Prior to his joining the Foreign Service, Scott was an Air Force Officer from 1995-2003. Scott is originally from Miami, Florida and holds a Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Languages and Literature from the University of Florida. Scott also spent several years in independent study and research programs at the Shaanxi Teachers University in Xi'an, China and Kansai University of Foreign Languages in Osaka, Japan. His languages include Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Laotian. Scott and his wife, Yuko, have two children – Yuri and Sachi.
