Michael Rosenthal - Event MC 



Michael has been managing organizations for more than twenty years. He graduated from the American University Washington College of law, clerked for two federal judges, served eight years as a Federal Prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice (receiving an Outstanding Attorney Award in 1993 and 1996), and as Minister of Justice and Special Prosecutor for the Republic of Palau. In early 2005, Michael moved to China to serve as Asia Pacific CEO for Day Light Inc., USA, and has subsequently worked in a variety of industries including environmental, education, human resources, fashion, retail, health/beauty and media. He is the founder of US Green Solutions, Imperial International Competitions, Business in Emerging Europe (Bizinee) and the Greater Las Vegas / China Business Club. Michael is a highly rated professional trainer and business coach who has serviced many international companies including Baxter, Bayer, Shanghai GM, Johnson Controls, SAP, SAIC, Volvo and others. Michael has served four years as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai Environmental Committee. He is also an actor/model who has appeared in numerous movies, television shows and commercials, and produced / directed numerous promotional videos.

Founded in 1987, Jazz at Lincoln Center is headquarted in New York City. Led by Managing and Artistic Director and multi-Grammy winner, Wynton Marsalis, Jazz at Lincoln Center presents a wide variety of Jazz legends and rising stars throughout the year. Its mission is to entertain, enrich and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy.


Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Jazz at Lincoln Center has collaborated with Shanghai Bund Investment Group to launch Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai. Situated near the Bund, the Center brings jazz fans in Shanghai world-class jazz programming. The intimate jazz club setting encourages the audience to enjoy the inspired and entertaining performance, week in, week out.


Since its opening in October 2017, Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai has brought jazz greats such as Joshua Redman, Joe Lovano and Jon Faddis to the Sunday Pre-Concert Talk. These masters have shared with many students and fans on what jazz language is, how to improvise, and the creative thinking behind.

STUDIO 188


The perfect words to describe the high energy, totally danceable, and fun-loving band Studio 188 is "Soulicious"! Founded in 2005, the nine-piece band's infectious sound and authenticity keeps the group highly in demand around China's music scene and internationally. With more than 700 shows and 13 years under their belt, Studio 188 is a tight powerhouse; enjoying the influences of a staggering array of nationalities and cultures through the personnel it hosts. The matching wardrobe, unrivalled slick style and unique horn section "The Brass Monkeys" powering the band's big sound, brings the party alive from the moment the band hits the stage.


Playing musical styles of classic Rock 'n' Soul music from the 60's right through to current day hits, the band rules the dance floors and the audiences rave at the music that they all know and love. The Shanghai Rolex Masters, F1, The World Music Festival, Miss Universe and the Australian Open are just a few examples of events where Studio 188 have been invited to perform over the years. An all new line-up is on the road this year with the introduction of 2 new female lead vocalists! The band is totally pumped, rehearsed and ready to take 2018 by storm!
