Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) is developing into the new center of Shanghai international trade and has a great prospect of becoming the most important economic strategic center following suit of Lujiazui. As the city's "13th Five-Year Plan" is scheduled to be implemented, 2018 is a critical year for Shanghai's Hongqiao area. Following the precedent of Pudong New Area, Shanghai Hongqiao CBD is setting out to become the new regional growth center. With its geographic advantage, it not only connects the Yangtze River Delta with the world, but it also plays a major role in the economic integration of the Yangtze River Delta.
By 2017, Minhang district in the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD has attracted 2,335 enterprises to establish their presence, 112 of which are corporate headquarters. Among them are Global 500 companies or industry leaders, such as Roche, Shell, LightOn, KSPG, Fiat and Messer. In addition, more than a hundred domestic top-ranked real estate developers and listed companies have decided to locate their headquarters there.
AmCham Shanghai's Trade & Investment Center invites you to this briefing on May 30th from 2:00pm-4:00pm at AmCham Shanghai Conference Center. Senior government officials from Minhang District and Shanghai Hongqiao CBD (TBC) will provide an overview of the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD, discuss new policies and opportunities as well as highlight differences between the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD and China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
This event is free of charge, but seats are limited. RSVP is required. Please note that AmCham Shanghai members enjoy first priority.
