With tariffs looming, U.S.-China trade relations have entered a critical stage. President Trump has sent his top economic advisors to Beijing for negotiations. The high-powered delegation includes Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, USTR Robert Lighthizer, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, Trade Advisor Peter Navarro, and National Economic Council Advisor Larry Kudlow. This program will address the results of this meeting and likely next steps. In addition, AmCham Shanghai President Kenneth Jarrett will share observations from a week of meetings with Washington policymakers as part of the AmCham China Doorknock. The panel discussion will offer additional insights on the views in Washington and Beijing on the U.S.-China trade relationship. This event is off the record.
