AmCham Shanghai would like to invite you to join our first SME seminar series "Are you fully aware what is going on in your company?" The event will be held on May 16from 14:00-16:00 at AmCham Shanghai Trade and Investment Center. This seminar is aimed at providing expert advice to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on how to increase competitiveness, expand operations and navigate the regulations in the Chinese market.
The Chinese market has attracted numerous international SMEs to set up their legal entities here in trying to get a slice of the market share. However, for managers with foreign/different backgrounds managing an entity in China while at the same time looking for growing opportunities can be a huge challenge. In a lot of cases, the operation management and audit of the entity is neglected, which eventually leads to negative business results.
Setting up the control mechanism and conducting regular internal operation audits are very often neglected by managers managing an international SME's China entity. Have you ever wondered the following questions?
- When was the last time you conducted a thorough internal audit of your company?
- Does your company operate smoothly as it seems on the surface?
- Have you ever wondered (deep inside) if you really know what is going on in your company?
Mr. Arie Schreier the General Manager of PTL Group has experienced such challenges just like some of you during his 19 years of experience in managing company in China. Nowadays, with a team of experts he is managing in trust more than 35 WFOEs (Wholly Foreign Owned Entity) in China.
Arie will share the knowledge he has acquired from performing tremendous Operational Audits to several WFOEs and will point out operation management challenges in the areas of HR, Finance & Tax and Logistics management and will provide tips on how and what to check in your company.
Mr. Ray Wang the General Manager of CI3 Industrial Incubator will share his experiences on operation management of Manufacturing SMEs and tips on how to prepare for factory inspections and improve efficiency of the factory.
