On February 27th, the Advertising Regulation Department of China's State Administration for Industry & Commerce (国家工商行政管理总局广告监督管理司) announced its 2018 work plan, which focuses on enhancing supervision of online advertising, specifically in social media. The work plan identified healthcare, food, drug and financial sectors as priorities for supervision. SAIC will work with various government sectors to inspect mainstream media and websites for compliance through its advertising monitoring platform and the national internet advertising monitoring center.

AmCham Shanghai is pleased to host a briefing with information on how Shanghai AIC (上海市工商行政管理局) will implement these regulations on March 30, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.
