Xu Jia is a partner with a focus on the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices sector. Jia joined PwC in 2008 after working for Merck in Singapore for 8 years. She built up a broad experience in the pharmaceutical business: operational, quality, technical and business aspects and has a deep understanding of compliance, operations, supply chain, IT system and risk management. After joining PwC, Jia has been working with organizations to develop China strategy. Jia has led commercial due diligence, growth and capability assessment, execution of change and compliance system review projects (both quality and sales & marketing compliance).
Jia has a PhD in Organic Chemistry and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Jia was elected onto the executive board of ISPE Singapore Affiliate in 2008. She is also a board member of ISPE China. In 2010, Jia was granted the Top-Caliber Overseas Talent award by the Beijing Chaoyang District government.

-Developed market entry strategies for many mid-sized European/US pharmaceuticals in China.
- Advised clients in major pharmaceutical deals from target searching, due diligence to post merge integrations.
- Led team to help pharmaceuticals to enhance overall internal control and improve efficiency.
- Led team to explore new business model for sales to interact with physicians in an effective but compliance manner.
- Led team to design and roll out business solution to improve the compliance status in sales and marketing operation in China
