This is a joint event of AmCham Shanghai Nanjing Center and German Chamber.

Join us for our special event on China’s new environmental policy in Nanjing on December 4th, and learn more about challenges and chances resulting from the application of rules on environmental protection in China, particularly in Nanjing. The special event invites all professionals from general management, operations, and strategy to explore the general short and long-term consequences for their manufacturing activities and to understand the policy’s concrete enforcement in Nanjing.

Benefit from the experience of experts in their field: Ralph Koppitz, Partner and Head of Taylor Wessing’s Shanghai office, will give an overview on legal considerations related to moving requests from authorities. Uwe Haizmann, Partner at EAC – International Consulting, will share his related experience with location due diligence. The environmental bureau Qixia District, Nanjing and representatives from companies based in Nanjing will provide an insight into the conditions operating in Nanjing. In addition, as experts for industrial development, CFLD will introduce information on Qixia District, Nanjing, as an example on the future of manufacturing in Nanjing, accompanied by a visit to the development zone in Longtan, Qixia District.

    For 18 years, Mr. Uwe Haizmann is working and living in Shanghai. He joined EAC in 2008 and he is the global head and Partner in charge of EAC’s Operational Excellence practice. Before joining EAC, Mr. Haizmann worked over 4 years for an international trading company in Shanghai in the positions of Head of Controlling and Business Development Manager. Mr. Haizmann’s team in Shanghai focuses on operational excellence projects for Germany-based and other European-based engineering, chemicals, and consumer goods companies. He speaks German, English and Mandarin. As a fellow of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) he holds a Master of Business Administration from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and a Bachelor from the East Asia Institute in Ludwigshafen, Germany.

With extensive experience in Nanjing Automotive Corporation, Nanjing Development and Reform Commission, Nanjing Municipal Investment Service Center, he is now working at the CFLD Nanjing and responsible for the industry development of the Nanjing Development Zone and the CFLD Longtan Industry New City.
