Peter Corne is the Managing Partner of Dorsey’s Shanghai office, and is Co-Head of the Firm’s U.S.-China Practice Group and the Firm’s Clean Technology Practice Group. Qualified to practice in England & Wales, Hong Kong and Australia, Peter leads Dorsey & Whitney’s mainland China offices from his base in Shanghai. Peter specializes in the area of Chinese corporate, commercial and regulatory practice and is recognized as a leading practitioner in the fields of mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring.

Daniel Krassenstein is the Director of Asia Operations for Procon Pacific, LLC (industrial packaging) and has been a supply chain practitioner in Asia & Latin America for 30 years. Dan is a former Governor with the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and was also Chair of its Supply Chain Committee.

Dan’s experiences are unique, as he is multilingual (Mandarin & Spanish) and is deep in the trenches of manufacturing in the interior provinces of China – dealing with the day-to-day challenges of labor, production scheduling, vendor certification, quality assurance, infrastructure and logistics.

Prior to the past ten years in Shanghai, Dan was an ocean freight executive for TMM/Mexican Line in Mexico & Panama, a trucking and warehouse director for Inchcape Shanghai and ran marketing and sales for Sea-Land Service in Indonesia, New York City and Chicago.

Julia is senior analyst in Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis practice, based in Shanghai and consulting on regulatory, political, and security issues in China and North-East Asia. Julia has worked on numerous projects advising clients on how to respond to intensifying regulatory enforcement on environmental, anti-competition and anti-corruption issues. In addition to working on bespoke consulting projects and stakeholder mappings, Julia is a regular contributor to Control Risks’ Country Risk Forecast (CRF) and PRIME services. Her recent projects include:
 Bespoke monitoring of political and regulatory risks resulting from increased investigations into foreign automotive companies in China
 Mapping of local government views for a client in an environmentally sensitive industry, looking at environmental and overcapacity policy trends to assess the viability of a proposed project and inform the client’s investment decision
 Stakeholder mapping of key government institutions participating in intensified anti-corruption and anti-competition enforcement against a healthcare multinational in China
 Development of a bespoke risk assessment tool with a multilateral financial institution to incorporate environmental and social risks to their in emerging market investment decisions
Prior to joining Control Risks, Julia worked as a Principal Political Risk Analyst for Maplecroft, a UK-based global risk and investment advisory firm, where she conducted and managed risk assessments on China and other Asian countries, examining sectors including transport, healthcare, financial, extractive, and retail. She was also previously a contributor of political and economic analysis for the Economist Intelligence Unit.
Julia is completing a PhD on market access for foreign companies in China, with focusing on the automotive and energy sectors. She has a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Julia speaks Mandarin, is a native German speaker and is fluent in French.

Dr. Wang is the Founding Partner of Greenment and the Board Director of the Jane Goodall Institute-Shanghai.
Dr. Wang has over 30 years of academic, consulting and investment experience in environmental industry. He is specialized in environment, health and safety (EHS) management and leadership, sustainable development, M&A, and green business strategy. He has successfully managed M&A environmental risk management programs for key clients including Alcoa, BHPBilliton, BP, Carlyle, CNOOC, Intel, Nissan, Pfizer, Shell, SinoChem, etc. and provided MNCs and Chinese governments with strategic advice on sustainability and risk management of M&A and regional development. He frequently speaks on practices and business implications of environmental regulations & policies and green strategy in international conferences and executive meetings.
Dr. Wang found Greenment in 2010 to provide financial, managerial and technical support to green business in China. Dr. Wang was an associated professor and Deputy Director of Department of Environmental Sciences, East China Normal University (ECNU), and a research scholar at Center for Environmental Technology, Imperial College. Dr. Wang was a senior partner of ERM Group and the managing director of ERM China.
