Advanced materials generally have superior properties compared to conventional materials, and can outperform conventional materials in terms of their applications. The global advanced materials market was valued at US$ 42.76 billion in 2015 and is anticipated to reach US$ 102.48 billion by 2024, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.4% between 2016 and 2024. In the Quzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone, major applications of advanced materials are observed in industries such as Chemicals and Integrated Circuits.

AmCham Shanghai’s Trade & Investment Center cordially invites you to this event on September 13 from 14:00-16:00 at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center. The Quzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone will share their insights on the latest developments and related favorable policies on the advanced materials market. The following representatives from Quzhou as well as international enterprises will be present at the event:
  • Mr. Fa Fang 方法, Director General of Quzhou Bureau of Commerce, will deliver an opening remark and provide an overview of the investment environment in Quzhou.
  • Mr. Jianlin Huang 黄建霖, Department Director of Investment Promotion Department, Quzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone, will introduce the favorable policies and current economic development in the Quzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone.
  • Mr. Moon Cheol Jung 文哲中, Deputy General Manager of Hyosung in China (晓星集团), will showcase a case study documenting their development experiences in the Quzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone.

About Quzhou, Zhejiang Province

Quzhou, the political, economic and cultural center of west Zhejiang province, has been called a thoroughfare of the four provinces. It is on the upper reach of Qiantang River and is connected with Hangzhou, Jinhua and Lishui in Zhejiang province. The railways, roads, waterways and airways extend in all directions in Quzhou. The industrial pattern in Quzhou focuses on chemical, building materials, light textile, machinery and food processing with synthesized development in paper-making, leather, electrical appliances, medicine, metallurgy and electric power.
