This program will welcome Howard Yin, Chief Information Officer & Chief Digital Officer (CIO/CDO), Haier Group, Zhang Cuimei, General Counsel, Haier Group, and Gabriel Wong, Partner & Corporate Finance Leader China, PwC, to discuss Haier's overseas M&A activity and the strategy behind Chinese companies going global.

    Howard Yin is currently the Chief Information Officer and Chief Data Officer with Haier Group and a 20+ year information technology veteran. In his role as CIO for Haier Group, Mr. Yin is leading the group’s shared IT services (Digital Technology Services Group), in addition to be responsible for enterprise architecture, strategic technical direction in spaces such as cloud computing, big data, information security etc., as well as key information systems.

    Mr. Yin is also leading an effort to drive company’s digital transformation. Mr. Yin also leads the advanced information technology research team with focus on predictive analytics, block chain and other areas. In addition, Mr. Yin is directly responsible for executive decision support.

    He is also leading the group’s WW CIO Committee and IT governance council. In his capacity as CDO, Mr. Yin is responsible for company’s big data platform and strategy roadmap, and leading the group’s big data research team.

    With 26-years of corporate finance experience, Gabriel heads the PwC China Corporate Finance, and Capital Projects and Infrastructure team of 90 professionals focusing on equity fund raising for Chinese company and lead advising M&A transaction for both foreign direct investment in China and Chinese outbound investment. Gabriel has been involved in a wide range of industries including retail and consumer products, industrial products, pharmaceutical and healthcare, finance and insurance, as well as infrastructure projects etc.

    Since 1991, Gabriel has been working in China in international consulting firm, renowned MNCs and investment bank including Arthur Andersen, Anheuser Busch, BNP Peregrine, ChinadotcomCorp. Originally from Hong Kong, Gabriel has lived in Shanghai for 15 years.
