Have you ever had the embarrassing difficulty getting yourself understood when expressing some seemingly “clear” and “straightforward” phrases like “company front desk” or “restroom”? Then it is time to learn about North American English idioms and habitual phrases that’ll help you even in business settings. Though North Americans are known for their high tolerance and awareness of cultural diversity, especially in the business world, there is little latitude for non-native expressions literally translated from another language. In order to achieve efficiency, clarity and even confidence in conversations, as well as business presentations, professionals speaking English as a second language need to improve their verbal awareness not only on essential nuances between synonymous English words, like “meeting” and “conference” or “agenda” and “itinerary”, but more importantly on the principles of propriety in making requests, inquiries, complaints, and apologies.

This one-day comprehensive workshop deals with North American English usage while offering new insight and a clearer path to the mastery of close-to- native verbal (both colloquial, semi-formal and formal) expressions for business communication. Result-oriented and pragmatic, the workshop offers many opportunities to practice and use your newly acquired skills.

What You Will Learn:
  • North American English Idioms in International Trade, Office Administration, Marketing and Advertising, as well Business English Terms, Abbreviations and Acronyms.
  • Ways to speak and write in authentic North American English will be illustrated with abundant examples of words, phrases and sentences in a business context.

This is an intensive small group workshop which will offer you premium training and an expert approach to your English communication needs. A great amount of time dedicated to practice is a guarantee that you will make a difference in your accent.
